SEVEN WONDERS MOROCCAN RANGE PREVIEW

Hi lovelies,

How was everyone's long weekend? Hope you guys did something that is more interesting than dating your textbooks and notes. :) Whilst taking my 4823098420348023th study break for the day, I decided to do a quick post regarding an awesome package I received from Wordstorm 2 weeks ago. :)

Let's rewind back to about a month ago when Jenny from contacted me and asked if I am interested in trying out products from the Seven Wonders Moroccan Range. Unless you have been living under a rock, you should of known by now that #MoroccanOil (using hash tags in a blog post is an indictor of over usage of Twitter lol)  is one of the trending topics in the beauty world and probably heard how awesome #MoroccanOil products are.

This was the pretty gift bag that was delivered to my office filled with some chocolates and the Moroccan Range products.

The products were nicely packed in a box (pictured above) with postcards of Australia 6 wonders and the the products in the box are Seven Wonders

SEVEN WONDERS is an Australian owned natural hair care brand offering all natural, salon grade styling products, treatments and shampoos and conditioners. All products are made using organic ingredients and are chemical free. The Moroccan Treatment range is Seven Wonders newest addition.

Mark Baker, Co-owner of Seven Wonders said, "Unlike the other moroccan oil products on the market, the Seven Wonders range uses only organic Argan oil and is free from harsh chemicals such as paraben and harsh preservatives. The organic Argan oil has an oil balance feature, which is able to hydrate dry hair and spread and balance excess in oil hair, leaving a shine without greasiness. It will also dramatically reduce blow drying time."

RRP: $34.95 for 125mL Moroccan Oil Treatment

The Seven Wonders Moroccan Oil Range is available at health food stores and pharmacies nation wide, or www.sevenwonders.com.au for a full list of stockists.
Throughout April and May, Seven Wonders is offering a free Moroccan Oil treatment to anyone who purchases three products from the the Seven Wonders range - participating outlets only.  For more information, visit www.sevenwonders.com.au.

I have just started trying out these products and will do a detailed review on them after a month. Be patient and the detailed review will be out in no time. :)

Have any of you tried Moroccan Oil? Does it work miracle?
Have any of you tried Seven Wonders Natural Hair Care products?

BLOG-TORIAL - PEACOCK SMOKEY EYES

Happy Easter lovelies!!!!

Hope you girls (or guys) are enjoying your Easter long weekend with heaps of Easter bunnies and eggs!!! Unlike yours truly, who has to spend her entire long weekend nerding for my upcoming CA exam. How the very interesting. I did however, had some fun on Thursday night drinking up and dancing the night away after a rather shit week and a few retail therapies in the past couple of days. Do expect upcoming haul posts, albeit it will probably take a while since I need to be cramming hard in the next 2 weeks.

ANYHOOS,

This is my Peacock Smokey Eyes that I worn during my friend's birthday dinner at Masuya last Saturday.

It has been a while since I last gone out on a Saturday night and a while since I last created a look with a touch of colour, that is out of my usual neutrals and brown. :)

Here is my step-by-step blog-torial on how to re-create this look:

STEP 1: Apply MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study after applying Urban Decay Primer Potion (You can use any eyeshadow primers you own. But don't skip this step as the last thing you want is your bright colours to crease).

STEP 2: Apply "lid colour" from Maybelline Stylish Smokes Quad in Natural Smokes all over your lid.

STEP 3: Apply "crease colour"  from the same quad along your crease and outer crease.

STEP 4: Apply "Outer V colour" from the same quad at your outer V. Don't forget to blend all the colours with a clean blending brush.

(Not in picture) - Apply "highlight colour" from the same quad on your browbone area.

STEP 5: Apply the "bright green colour" from the Cover Girl Eye Enhancer Eyeshadow Quad in Tropica Fusion (or any bright green colour will do) on the inner 1/3 of your lid.

STEP 6: Apply the "dark blue colour" from the same CG quad on the middle of your lid.

STEP 7: Blend all the colours together using the same blending blush. As you can tell, most of the colours were blended out and the green&blue colour cannot really be seen.

STEP 8: I had to reapply the green and blue colour, but using Wet & Wild Colour Icon Palette in Pride (swatches and review HERE) this time.

SMOKEY EYES MAKE UP TIP 101:  Keep blending blending blending!

A smokey eyes with harsh lines is definitely not sexy, so remember to keep blending until you blend all the harsh lines away. :)

STEP 9: Apply black gel eyeliner and wing it out a little on your upper lash line and line your lower lash line with your favourite smudge proof black pencil eyeliner. I used Maybelline Eyestudio Drama Lasting Gel Eyeliner and Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Zero, which are my favourite HG eyeliners. Don't forget to apply mascara and fill in your eyebrows.

Your eye make up is pretty much done and you can start contouring your face if you are not going for the super dramatic eye look.

If you are, move on to the next step - apply falsies.

See what a huge difference falsies will make to the entire look?
Apart from giving the more dramatic effect to the look, falsies definitely opens up your eyes and gives the illusion that your eyes are bigger.

Whilst I am not dedicated enough to put on falsies daily but falsies is a must for me when it comes to night make up and Fridays too. :)

Products used on my FACE:
Face of Australia Mineral Therapy Liquid Foundation in Beige
Face of Australia Translucent Loose Powder
Australis Liquid Concealer Pen in Light Beige
MAC Wonder Woman MSF in Golden Lariat

On my LIPS
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Nude Pink (Swatches & Review HERE)
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Nude Lustre

Since I got quite a few responses from my GIVEAWAY (which is still going btw, don't forget to enter =P) to post more Outfit of the Day photos, here is a collage of my outfit of the night:

Although corporate wear is fun at times, I do miss casual dressings HEAPS, especially during winter - think tights with boots, GRANNY SWEATERS (which I have been lemming for a while but am trying to justify paying over $50 for something I will wear probably once every week), hoodies.... Ah well....

I hope this tutorial is helpful to your guys :) You can always swap the green and blue with your favourite colours - pink, purple, turquoise, whatever floats your boat. =)

Are you a falsies person?
Do you wear them daily, only when you have a night out (likes your truly) or never?

Don't forget to enter my GIVEAWAY if you haven't already :)

PRICELINE HAUL - 50% OFF COVER GIRL PRODUCTS

So, while C and I were waiting for our turn at Taste of Shanghai at World Square last Friday (which happened to be a 45 minutes wait!), we decided to pop by Priceline to have "a look". Ok, I lied. Its more like me dragging C to check out the 50% Covergirl sales that was and still is going on.

I tried to place a make up shopping ban on myself but it clearly isn't working very well. But hey, it is a very rare occasion that we get 50% off drugstore products here in Sydney, so as a beauty hoarder beauty blogger, it is a good opportunity for me to try these products out and provide reviews to you readers out there. :)

My "tiny" loot:

The products I hauled are:

Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara - Not the best I have used so far but it's something I can live with. :) But since they were on sale, why not. Such an Asian thing to do, I swear. :P

Cover Girl Smoothers Tinted Moisturiser (810 Light to Medium) - I am definitely more of a BB Cream/ tinted moisturiser than a foundation person. That explains why I decided to try their tinted moisturiser instead of foundation. Have yet to try this.

Cover Girl Smokey Shadow Blast - I wanted to try the similar eyeshadow stick by Max Factor since Bubz has used that in a few of her videos but the CG one is 1/3 of the price, so CG it is. =) I tried it yesterday and my quick thoughts on the product - the colour payoff isn't the best but it does give your eye a better definition, perfect for those who prefer subtle eyeshadow over pigmented ones.

Cover Girl Tru Conceal Concealer - I am in the phase of searching for THE perfect undereye drugstore concealer. Will let you know how this one goes.

Cover Girl Eye Enhancer in Fusion Tropicale - This palette reminds me of Xteener as she used to mention it heaps in her videos back in the days. I used them to create a Peacock Smokey look over the weekend and let's just say the eyeshadows aren't really pigmented and they get blended away easily.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry and Berry - I gave the Cherry flavoured one to my sister and I have been using the Berry flavoured one since then. Absolutely loving it!!! It moisturises my lips (DuhHHH!) really well and it tastes yummy too!!!

I got all these products for under $45, which is incredibly cheap for Australian drugstore standard!

Don't forget to check out your nearest Priceline!

Covergirl products are all 50% off and Maybelline Baby Lips is Buy One Get One Free at $3.99!!!

Priceline should pay me for promoting their products. LOL. Sharing is caring - it's always to good to share when one stumbled upon good deals. :) I hope this post is in time for those of you who have been wanting to try out Covergirl products! I THINK the promotion ends on Wednesday since Priceline always has new promotions on Thursday. Don't quote me for that.

Have you tried any of the above products?
What is your favourite Cover Girl product?

REVIEW & FOTD : Face of Australia Mineral Foundation Review and Au Naturale FOTD

Remember my Introduction to Face of Australia post a couple of weeks ago?
I have been trying out their products since then. Reviews and more FOTDs using these products will be coming shortly.  :)

And the product I will be talking about today is:

Face of Australia claims that it delivers flawless coverage and a healthy boost of minerals to the complexion. They also claim that it won't clog pores or irritate skin.

It comes with a build in brush but I like using the ELF Powder Blush (which is awesome btw) to apply it all over my face before applying oncealer on my undereye. I then set it with Face of Australia Translucent Loose Powder after applying my contouring products. :)

My thoughts on this products after testing it out for 3 weeks :
(Please note that I did not wear them daily and I did use other face products in between.)

* Flawless Finish
* Light to Medium Coverage
* Long Lasting
* Affordable

As you can tell from the photo above, it gives a pretty flawless finish. In terms of coverage, it is light to medium as my freckles are still visible but I think it's the same with most mineral foundation. I am cool with that as I don't like full and thick coverage. So, this is the perfect face product to use during weekends when you want to take a break from your usual foundation routine and give your skin some space to breathe. I started to wear this to work last week and it did last all day without a primer.
Do keep in mind though, I have really dry skin and it's comparable to Sahara Desert now that the weather is getting colder here in Sydney.

Retailing at $16.95, it's extremely affordable to those of you who want to try out mineral foundation but do not want to put too much stress on your wallet. :) And the quality is pretty good for the price you pay.

On my FACE
Garnier Anti Dark Circles Roll On in Light
Face of Australia Mineral Therapy Foundation
Face of Australia Translucent Loose Powder
Face of Australia Pressed Bronzer
Canmake Blush in NW 25
Illamasqua Powdered Metal in Ether

On my EYES
ELF Eyeshadow Primer
Illamasqua Powdered Metal in Ether (as all over the lid colour)
Etude House Darling Petite Shadow in Cafe Latte (Outer crease colour)
Face of Australia Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Wet & Wild Colour Icon Eyeliner in Turquoise
Shu Uemura Eyebrow Pencil in Hard
Maybelline Hello Kitty Extreme Volume Mascara

On my LIPS
Illamasqua Lipstick in Wanton
(this GORGEOUS matte berry pink lippie that I bought during the Sydney Beauty Blogger Yum Cha and Beauty Swap Meet Up. Definitely one of my current favourites along with Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Guestlist!)

This is definitely my favourite bludgy, Sunday combination - minimum make up with a bolder lip colour to brighten up the look. You don't have to compromise looking good to let your skin breathe! All you need is to pick the right products. :)

Do you wear less make up and let your skin breathe during the weekends?
What's your favourite combination to achieve the "no make up" natural look?

All Face of Australia products and Illamasqua Powdered Metal in Ether were provided to me for consideration. However, all opinions expressed are 100% honest and I am not paid for this post.

Priceline haul + FREE giftbag worth $200 :D

It's THAT time of the year again where Priceline has their massive promotion where you spend $50 on a certain brands and receive a gift bag worth $200.
(To find out what I haul-ed and what was included in the gift bag, click HERE)

I know, I have a stash of make up which is probably enough to last me more than a life time and I really don't need any extra products. But... this is such a good deal and this promotion only happens one a year.
Why miss the opportunity? :P

So, what products did I purchase in order to score that gift bag???

REVLON Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Coral Reef and Nude Lustre, Australis Liquid Concealer Pen, Rimel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer & Highlighter and Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Honky Tonk.

REVLON is currently having 2 for 1 promotion for their lip and nail products.

Got both the lipglosses for $21.95, which is quite a good deal for Australian standard. :)
This is your chance if you have been waiting to try Revlon's products!

I have been looking for a new under eye concealer to replace my Garnier Anti Dark Circle Roll On (because I am kinda bored of it =.=") and decided to give Australis Liquid Concealer Pen and Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer & Highlighter a try. Will let you guys know how I like it once I try both of them out. :)

The Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Honky Tonk is a gorgeous coral-pinkish colour. As much as I love to expand my ridiculously large lipstick collection, this gorgeous baby here will be included in my upcoming giveaway.:D

Enough of my mini haul, I am sure you guys are curious about the freebies that were included in the gift bag. :P

$200 worth of freebies and a gift bag. *win*

The products that were included are:
* Nair mini wax strips

Have you grab your giftbag from Priceline? :D

SYDNEY BEAUTY BLOGGERS YUMCHA & BEAUTY SWAP :)

Hi lovelies!!!!

How's going??? Sorry for disappearing for a good week again. Work has been really busy lately and I am completely knackered after gym, which resulted in Through Beauty Eyes being neglected. =/ Also, I went to USHER'S OMG TOUR IN AUSTRALIA last Tuesday and his performance was AMAZING! More on that in the next post. =)

I attended the Sydney Beauty Bloggers Yumcha and Beauty Swap Meet Up yesterday organised by the lovely Kimmy from The Plastic Diaries.

Also, a special shout out to Face of Australia for sponsoring the Sydney Beauty Bloggers Yumcha and Beauty Swap Meet Up . :)

What's included in the goodie bag? :)
* FoA Diamonds & Pearls Opulent Eyes
*FoA LUXE Nail Enamel in Lemon Sorbet (which seems like a dupe for OPI Banana Bandanna)
* FoA Lipshine in Starlight

A table FULL of goodies to be swapped!
I swear the people around us were giving us the WTF stares, with 20 ladies crowding around a yumcha table, going wooha over the beauty products!

Kimmy was busy "auctioning" different products left on the table and even so, there were still quite a few products that remained on the table, in which we decided to donate it to charity :)

It was really great to finally meet more of my "twitter friends". (I know momma said to never talk to strangers online, but I can assure you these friends I made on twitter are darlings! :P) Thanks Kimmy for organising such a wonderful event and we should definitely make it a monthly event!

After yumcha and an awesome swapping session, Jaime, Bini, Anita, Angie, Michelle, Tina and I went to MYER as Jaime wanted to grab "Mr Bright" from Benefit and I needed to get my Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil sharpened. And of course, my initial plan was to "browse" around and shopping definitely wasn't in my card. Needless to say, I went home with a few purchases, on top of the goodies I got from the beauty swap!

My first Illamasqua purchase - Illamasqua Lipstick in Wanton
Illamasqua was having 30% off certain products and I got this gorgeous baby for only 27 bucks! Grab it fast before they are gone!!!

Wanton is a matte mauve-ish pink colour, slightly darker than your usual baby pink, which is perfect for autumn. I am currently loving lip colours that are more opague as the land down under is heading towards winter. :)

MichelleAnita and I were the last one standing and the girls decided to take me to SA Hair and Beauty Outlet, which was a treasure hidden in Dymocks Plaza. :)

I was THIS close to buying this OPI duo set which was only retailing for $19.95 (2 for the price of 1) but I was being a good girl and only got this Ecotools brush set. :)

I have seen really good reviews about Ecotools brushes and never really had a chance to try them. Since this set was only retailing for $19.95 (I think it's around $26.95 at Priceline but don't hold me to that.), I thought it is time to try these jewels out. Will let you guys know how I like them!

You guys are probably wondering what goodies did I grab from the Beauty Swap =P Without further ado, lets have a sneak peak at my stash!

Nail polishes; Aveeno Skin Brightening Scrub; Simple Skin Cleanser and Make Up Remover; Maybeline Dream Matte Powder; Mini Konad Set; Sigma SS150 brush; MAC eyeshadow in Rated "R"; Loreal Hip Kohl Eyeliner in Teal.

Gorgeous nail polishes - my first ZOYA products. :)

I can't wait to try these nail polishes!!! Stay tune for reviews and swatches :P

My FOTD  for the meet up, which is coming up soon :P

XOXO,
A
