2014 #FIFAWorldCup Inspired MakeUp #3 - GERMANY

Through Beauty Eyes 2014 FIFA World Cup Inspired Make Up - GERMANY

I am putting my bet (not literally) on Germany to win this World Cup although they are currently sitting on a draw at 49 minutes as I write up the post!

EYES

Urban Decay Primer Potion
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
Dolly Wink Eyebrow Pencil
Benefit Australia They Are Real Liner
Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eyeliner Pencil in Black
Dolly Wink Volume Mascara in Black
Illamasqua Powder Eyeshadow in Hype (Fundamental Palette)
LILY LOLA Mineral Eyeshadow (Matte Brown)
I Nuovi Eyeshadow in Siren Red
Urban Decay The Black Palette in Black Dog

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:
 2014 #FIFAWorldCup Inspired MakeUp - GERMANY

1. After applying my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer and NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk (this would intensify the bright colours and keep them in place), gently pack on the any vibrant yellow eyeshadow from your collection (I am using Illamasqua Powder Eyeshadow in Hype from the Fundamental palette) across the inner third of your upper lid.

2. Then, apply a matte brown eyeshadow (mine is from LILY LOLO Mineral Cosmetics) on the outer third of my lid and along my crease and meet the end of my yellow eyeshadow (leaving the centre part of my lid free).

3. This is probably the hardest step and if you're fairly new with makeup, maybe apply your foundation after you have done the eyes. Apply your blackest eyeshadow (using Black Dog from my Urban Decay Black Palette), creating a "V" at the outer corner of my lid (make sure the "V" is smaller than the area of the matte brown eyeshadow!) and slowly blend them together.

4. Finally gently pack on the brightest red eyeshadow you have on the centre of lid (I am using I Nuovi Eyeshadow in Siren Red ) and blend all three colours together. Gently. You may need to go back and reapply the yellow & red eyeshadows as they might lose some intensity whilst blending!

5. I used Benefit Australia's new #BenefitRealLiner on my upper lashline and Milani's Liquif'eye Pencil Eyeliner in Black to line my lower lashline. I then set it with the same Black Dog eyeshadow and to soften to look.

6. To finish off, apply a few generous coat of your favourite mascara. As always, you have the option to apply falsies to further intensify the look.

FOTW - WORKING SERIES #1 : Rasberry Peach

How's everyone's weekend so far?

Sydney's weather is temperamental as always, but I am not really complaining cos I managed to pay off most of my sleeping debt incurred during the week (that's what working as an accountant do to you LOL). I fell asleep with my work clothes and make up on (one of the most deadly make up sin =.=") and my glasses on my head after I got back on Friday night and I didn't wake up till the next morning! Not to mention, I spent half of yesterday sleeping too. What a pig I am! =.=" Then, I had an awesome hotpot dinner at Shan's place, which I might of consumed a lil too much chili LOL and overdosed myself with SoyMilk! (I already had like 4 bottles of SoyMilk in the past 20 hours!)

ANYWAYS, without further ado, lets move on to the beauty part. :)

Instead of the usual FOTD post, I am gonna start doing FOTW-Working Series. I am starting to notice the pattern of my make up I wear to work. I tend to try new combination at the start of the week as I get bored of the same look after a while, albeit they revolve around neutrals and earthy colours. But, I pretty much stick to the same look throughout the week.

This is the look I have been wearing in the past week. :)

With a touch of peachy-coral colour instead of the usual brown!

On my EYES
MAC Coral Crepe Paint Pot
Sportsgirl Single Eyeshadow in Tiny Dancer (as all over the lid colour)
ELF Single Eyeshadow in Raspberry (as outer V and outer crease colour)
Light Pink from TheFaceShop Jewel Effect Duo (as highlight colour and inner crease)
Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Eyeliner in Black (Upper Lash Line)
Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eyeliner Pencil in Black (Lower LashLine)
Maybelline Colossal Waterproof Mascara in Black
ELF Eyebrow Kit in Medium

On my FACE
Dermabland Cover Cream in Natural Beige (as foundation and concealer)
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Silky Beige
ELF Powder Blush in Peachy Keen
Illamasqua Powdered Metal in Ether
Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset City

On my LIPS

FOTD - Peacock

Hey lovelies,

My apologies for not updating this site for the past week. I haven't really been out of the box in terms of make up since I am working full time now and over the top make up is a big no no in the corporate scene. I do have a few reviews in line and will get to that once I get all the photos and swatches ready :) So stay tune for that! My weekend practically flew by, leaving me uncharged and to-do-list remains as long as Great Wall of China. =.=" Monday Blues, anyone?

At the mean time, check out the latest FOTD I created on Saturday night when I was out with the crew. :)

This is actually one of the very rare occasions where I actually created a look this colourful and bright. I like my neutrals and earthy colours but I decided to take a different route this time since its Spring and Spring is all about colours, right?

I don't want to sound like a total narcissist (though I am one LOL) but I LOVE the colour combination and how the lashes compliments my entire eye look. =)

The best part is : It doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to create this look! In fact, they are pretty damn affordable :)

On my EYES
ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer
MAC Coral Crepe Paint Pot
NYX Single Eyeshadow in Africa (all over the lid colour)
Milani Single Eyeshadow in Shock (Crease area)
NYX Single Eyeshadow in Morocco (Outer V, Lower Lashline)
Inuovi TruColor Eyeshadow in Siren Red (Transition colour between lid and crease colour)
NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil (Browbone)
Maybelline Studio Lasting Drama Eyeliner in Black (Upper lashline)
Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eyeliner Pencil in Black (Lower lashline)
Max Factor Lash Extension Effect Extra Lengthening Mascara in Black
ELF Eyebrow Kit in Black

On my FACE
Revlon PhotoReady Foundation in Natural Beige
MAC ProLong Wear Concealer in NC 25
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Silky Beige
Bronzer from Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset City
Canmake Powder Cheeks in PW25
Illamasqua Powdered Metal in Ether

On my LIPS
MAC Dazzle Lipstick in Powerful

Oh hai fat cheeks!

I think there's something wrong with my camera as it comes out a lil blurry? Or maybe its the lighting cos it was quite gloomy outside?

I think I have different sizes eyes. =.="

Dress from ASOS.com
I wore my hair in curls out for the first time! Yes, first time!!! Claire helped me with the curls while I helped Clare with her eye make up (Final results will be revealed in the next post!). We were running late so I didn't get to take a front shot of the entire look. Hence, this drunken-lookalike (no, I wasn't smashed!) is the best I can find. :(

So, what do you guys think?
Curls or Straight Hair?

Do you like exploring bright and bold colours during Spring/Summer time? Or you prefer to be safe and stick to the fail proof neutrals?

Have a great week ahead! :)

XOXO,
A

PACKAGE WEEK: #1 - Inuovi & Jager Haul

This week should totally be called "Package Week" as I received packages 4 out of 5 days this week and THAT makes me a happy girl!=) 2 of them are my hauls from Stefan & Cherry Culture and the other 2 are from Sam and Jojoba. =P

I will probably consumed all your bandwidth if I were to do a collective haul post of all the stuff I bought and received, so I decided to break them down and post them separately. I first heard about Inuovi products from Janice and wasn't really interested in them until she told me she placed her second order. *peer pressure* After resisting the temptation for DAYS, I finally gave in and made my order last week after a long, shit day.

While I was placing my orders, I was trying to search for swatches for these Inuovi & Jager products but they were VERY limited, almost close to none. So, I have included some swatches in this post and hopefully it helps those of you who wants to try out these cheapass products too. =)

-A$26, including postage-
THESE are the stuffs I got from Stefan - consisting of both Inuovi and Jager (which I have absolutely no idea what brand this is and google wasn't much of a help either). Stefan is having a clearance sale at their website at the moment with Inouvi & Jager products for A$1 EACH

INUOVI PRODUCTS

Got myself 2 eyeshadows, 5 blushes and 1 lipstick
(Stefan added 2 lipsticks to replace the Jager Lipstick in Naughty that was out of stock which was very nice of them)

Cheek, Chiffon, Melon
(As you can tell from the photo above, the shades are pretty similar, especially Cheek and Melon)

Melon, Cheek, Chiffon
(To be honest, I can't really tell the difference between Melon & Cheek and I am yet to try them on my face)

Candy, Future

Candy, Future

All these blushes are matte based - so you might want to use it with a highlight product. The colours are pretty pigmented as you can tell from the pictures above (all the swatches are made with one swatch). As for the lasting power, I can't really comment much as yet because I haven't tried them out. Let me know if any of you want a more detailed review on these blushes.

Siren Red

Yellow Flash

As you can tell, the red is more pigmented than the yellow. I am definitely not a bloody red or bright yellow kind of person but I thought it'd be nice to have bold colours like this in my collection. Who knows, I might need these colours for the next dressed up party I am going. Moreover, they are only 1 dorrar each. =)

Peach, Lychee, Sensual.
(Lychee and Sensual are the replacement lipsticks)

Top to bottom - Peach, Lychee, Sensual.
I am sure you can tell how pigmented these lipsticks are, and the colours are slightly darker than what I expected. I certainly did not expect peach to be THIS dark. And the lipsticks are EXTREMELY moisturizing, I kid you not. It feels like I am applying lip balm with colours.

LYCHEE

SENSUAL

- Without flash-

Personally, I think the photos without flash is a better illustration of the actual colour.

JAGER PRODUCTS

Got myself 2 eyeshadows duo, 1 Sheer as Silk Two Way Face Cover, 1 Pigment, 2 Lipsticks.
Truth to be told, this is my FIRST TIME coming across this brand Jager - tried googling it but to no avail- but I decided to give it a try anyways, since they are 1 buck each (totally not what a rational consumer should be doing)

The Eyeshadow Duos

Jager Everlasting Eyeshadow in Vivi Voo

Jager Everlasting Eyeshadow in Petal to the Metal

Gotta admit that these colours are pretty but not that great in the pigmentation department. I had to swatch 3-4 times in order to get the pigmentation above.

Sheer as Silk Two Way Face Cover in Sheer Bronze

I have been trying to look for something new to replace my almost-hit-pan Maybelline Dream Matte Powder and I thought wow this might be it. Little did I know that it only came in Sheer Bronze, which is clearly too dark for me. =.="

Metallica Eye Shimmer in Natural

Jager Flirt Lipstick in Fruit Glazed & Shimmer

Top to bottom: Fruit Glazed & Shimmer.

Overall, these products are pretty good for 1 dollar - the packaging isn't the best but I guess you can't complain much for the price you pay. My favourite product of the lot is probably the blusher and am definitely looking forward to trying them out! =)
As Stefan is an Australian based company (in Melbourne if I am not mistaken), postage was extremely quick! I made my order on Thursday night and received them on Monday.

What do you think of these 1 dollar products? Anything that caught your attention?
