Sunday Quickie #1

Hey lovelies!

Hope you guys had a great weekend. It's depressing how the weekend raced by and its Monday again tomorrow, especially when you're having fun. :(

Anyhoos, I am starting a Sunday Quickie series on Through Beauty Eyes, where I will do a quick recap of my weekend and maybe preview of my upcoming post (if and when) I am a fail-weekend-blogger busy over the weekend and am unable to do a proper post.

So, what did yours truly get up to over the weekend? :P

FRIDAY: Rocking Schwarzkopf Magic Hair Clip-On Extensions (Will do a detailed introductory and review post soon!) courtesy of SweatyBettyPR with curls using Modiva Curling Iron
Absolutely loving the long, wavy locks look - am definitely leaving my hair to grow again (since I have been having short/medium length bob cut for the past 2.5 years).

SATURDAY: Had my BEST facial experience with Kiehl's Paddington, complementary of the Kiehl's is growing, Price is Sinking event . Once again, I will leave the details for another post, but seriously, the massage I got from the lovely Sae was pretty damn orgasmic!

Granny sweater from Market City/ Jeans from Levis/ Thongs from Havaianas/ Ring from Equip
SATURDAY: Finally got myself a "granny sweater" from Market City,  one of the winter wears that I have been lemming for AGES!

SUNDAY: Absolutely loving my new rings from DIVA and granny sweater I bought on Saturday. :)

SUNDAY: Decided to play with my new Modiva Curling Iron while waiting for my friend to pick me up. Although I have only been using it for 2 days, I am already loving Modiva Curling Iron so far!

SUNDAY: Camwhoring while waiting, best way to kill time. :P
What do you think about wavy curls on me? Yay or Nay?

Tea Set @ Tara Tea Room, The Rocks
SUNDAY: We were such gluttons, this was our dessert after a scrumptious lunch @ Pancakes at The Rocks. The scones and jam were freaking' delicious!

SUNDAY: Ended the night with The Hangover 2. Had such an awesome abs workout from all the laughter but some scenes were pretty sick too. Not to mention, Bradley Cooper was so hot! <3 Definitely recommendable. :)

It was an awesome weekend, which went passed a tad too quickly. My plan to update my resume and this blog did not quite happen but I did get some swatches during the day.

Anyways, I shall stop rambling any further.
Have a great week ahead lovelies!!
It's gonna be a cold and wet morning tomorrow in Sydney, that only means Adeline is gonna be cranky. :( #MondayBlues.

FOTD - ABSOLUM WONDERLAND

So, it has been a while since I last posted a "colourful", outside the norm FOTD. Mainly because, I barely go out on Saturdays anymore and on Fridays, I have work during the day. Being in the professional line doesn't really give you much room to be creative when it comes to eye make up. Hence, I always make an effort to have more "special" make up whenever I have event to attend to on the weekends.

Here is the look I wore to my best friend's wedding 2 weeks ago - a mixture of green, blue and purple

On my EYES
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay Alice in The Wonderland Palette:
Absolum
Alice
Underland
Urban Decay Black Palette:
Jet
Maybelline Eyestudio Drama Lasting Eyeliner in Black
Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Flipside
Gypsy Eyelashes in #96
Shu Uemura Eyebrow Pencil in Hard

STEP 1: Apply Absolum all over the first 3/4 of your eyelid.

STEP 2: Apply Jet at the outer corner /V of your eyelid, creating a "V" shape.

STEP 3: Apply Alice all over 3/4 of your crease.

STEP 4: Gently pack on Underland at the 1/4 of your outer lid, overlapping Jet.

STEP 5: Using a clean blending brush, blend all the colours together. You may always pack on more Absolum if you think the colour faded a little after all the blending.

STEP 6: Apply your favourite gel liner on your upper lash line and a turquoise eyeliner on your lower lash line. I used Maybelline Eyestudio Drama Lasting Eyeliner in black and Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Flipside respectively. (Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eyeliner Pencil *click for review and swatches" is an awesome and way cheaper dupe for Flipside!)

STEP 7: Using an angled brush, apply Underland on the outer half of your lower lash line and Absolum in the inner half of your lower lash line.

STEP 8: Apply a generous coat of mascara and put on your favourite pair of falsies. I am using Gipsy Lashes in #96. Don't forget to coat your lower lashes with mascara too! It does make a difference!

On my FACE
Face of Australia Mineral Therapy Liquid Foundation in Beige
Australis Liquid Concealer Pen in Light Beige
MAC MSF in Medium
Face of Australia Translucent Powder
MAC MSF Blush in Hang Loose
MAC MSF in Candlelight
Sports Girl Oh My Goddess Bronzing Powder

On my LIPS
Rimmel Royal Gloss in Candy (refer to swatch above)
MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick
( I had it on in my first and second photo below)

*please ignore the gross sleepy look*

I chose a simple black dress since I decided to go colourful with my eye make up.

Gaga's puffy sleeves is absolute love!

Dress from Valley Girl/ Stockings from Malaysia/ Heels from Charles & Keith/ Ring from DIVA

Hope you guys enjoyed the quick FOTD (and the blog-torial) and the outfit of the day!

What's your favourite "outside the norm" colours combination?
Would love to get some ideas and inspiration. :)

THE classic piece - Tiffany & Co

Every girl needs a piece of classic jewellery, be it a necklace, bracelet or even a ring, which goes well with ALL outfits. Just like how every girl needs her Little Black Dress.

The cliche goes, "Diamonds are girls best friends". Well, personally I think it should be "Tiffany and Co is a girl's best friends". :P
Tiffany & Co definitely tops 99% of my girlfriends wishlist when it comes to jewellery, and I am no exception. D'uh. Don't get me wrong, I love my chunky rings and funky necklace but like LBD, we all need THE necklace or THE bracelet which is oh-so-versatile.

Here are my favourite picks from the Tiffany Lock Range

Transform an otherwise casual outfit to Miss Sophisticated almost instantly...

Loving Leighton's combination of boyfriend blazer and jeans, with the classic gold watch!
Pairing the Tiffany Locks Emblem Lock Pendant  with your favourite boyfriend blazer will definitely add a touch of sophistication to your casual look.

Top and Belt from TEMT / High waisted shorts from Glassons/ Boyfriend Blazer from Valley Girl/ Rings from EQUIP and Sports Girl
*inserts imaginary Tiffany & Co necklace here*

OR turn into Miss Elegance by simply pairing your classic piece with your favourite cocktail dress . :)

How gorgeous is Blake Lively in this simple, bright fuchsia dress!
Personally, I reckon Blake's outfit is a little too plain and Tiffany Locks Heart Lock Bracelet is probably what she needed for that additional "sparkle".

Tutu dress - random store from Market City/ Boyfriend Blazer from Valley Girl/ Stockings from MYER/  Scarf from China/ Oxford Heels from Charles & Keith/ Bag from COACH/ Accessories from DIVA
*inserts imaginary Tiffany & Co's bracelet here*

I am definitely more of a beauty than a fashion blogger, as you can probably already tell by my lack of description when it comes to the fashion department. However, since I got quite a few request from my readers that they would like to see more OOTD posts, I thought I did do a quick one, incorporating my favourite pieces from the Tiffany Lock Range which most certainly top my christmas wishlist this year!

Whats YOUR classic piece must-haves?
Share with me in the comment below. :)

Hope you lovelies had a great start to the week!

Collective Haul - Part 1

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

I spent all Saturday being a slob, watching Sex And The City in bed with my pjs on all day although the weather was absolutely gorgeous! It was nice and warm with the sun shining brightly, just exactly what Sydney needed after those insanely chilly days. I have been busy with events, catching up with friends, Fashion Weekend after my CA paper so it's good to finally have some relaxing "me time", doing absolutely nothing!

If you followed me on twitter, you would of probably known of my impulsive online shopping spree during my study break (and maybe a couple more before that :P). Imagine being cooped up at home for a week studying, the least I can do to make me feel better is some retail therapy. You know you went a little overboard when people at work thinks you have a problem due to the constant delivery. LOL. That's the reason why I will be splitting the collective hauls into parts.

Without further ado, I will stop babbling any further and share my purchases with you guys. :)

LOVISA

If I had to choose to wear only ONE kind of jewellery, rings definitely tops the list, especially statement rings! How can I miss the opportunity when Lovisa was having their $5 sale?! I rarely pay full price for rings cos I can be quite a tight arse sometimes they usually go on sales at a really reasonable price too.

My favourites are the knuckle ring and the watch-ring (although the watch doesn't work.lol).
Which one is your favourite?

LUSH

There's nothing better to end a crap day at work than to have some retail therapy at LUSH and get some awesome body products. Ok, maybe zumba and a CC dry helps too but thats besides the point. :P

WHOOSH - shower jelly with revitalising essential oil blend of refreshing grapefruit. I picked this up because I was rather intrigued by its wobbly jelly texture and all you do is rubbing WHOOSH is between your palms before applying it all over your body.

Rub Rub Rub - body scrub which smells a little bit like my toothpaste. =/

Charity Pot Hand & Body Lotion - Hand cream that smells like chocolate.

I have mixed feelings about this product - whilst it works pretty good as a hand cream, a hand cream that smells like chocolate is a tad weird. To me at least. Just in case you don't really know, I am all for scented products! But chocolate scented hand cream just doesn't really do it for me.

Skin Drink Face Moisturiser Sample

HOT DOLLAR, BURWOOD

Hot Dollar in Burwood actually carries stuff from Japan for only $2.50. EVERYTHING for $2.50! They have HEAPS of random, cute stuff in the shop, not exactly useful but extremely adorable! It takes ALOT of effort for me not to buy the entire store. I did, however picked up a few stuff including an awesome umbrella (which got stolen when I was at the gym! Pffft) and some random gym towels. Lol. Don't worry, I wouldn't be boring you with those randoms just the beauty-related ones. :)

Heart-shaped ash tray (at least that's what I think it is)

I don't smoke but I thought these will be an awesome home for my newly purchased rings from Lovisa. :)

A storage thingamajig, which I knew would be perfect to store all my lip products! I'd love to own one of those awesome lipsticks holder but 1) They are way too expensive for a make up storage 2) I would probably need more than one to be able to fit all my lip products.

$2.50 and it fits ALL my lipsticks and lipglosses. Perfecto!

I know I should place a lipstick ban on myself but I just LOVE lipsticks. I am currently lemming for MAC Candy Yum Yum lipstick but I have quite a few bright fuchsia lipsticks but they aren't one of those everyday colours suitable for work. SHOULD I?

Another make up storage box, which I used to store my eyeshadow trios/quads. :)

Cute bloating paper - My face is anything but oily but I use this to bloat my sweat without smudging my make up.

Super cute falsies box.

SOAP & GLORY from KIT COSMETICS

I got my first Soap & Glory product - Flake Away during my trip to Singapore last year and I absolutely LOVED it. But knowing Australia, we are deprived of alot of awesome brands and being the noob I was, I had to ask around on twitter as to where can I get Soap & Glory products. Thanks to the lovely Jade who told me that KitCosmetics stocks them and they were having free shipping at that time. BOOM! An order was made within minutes!

I was so happy when the delivery came the next day at work, totally made my day! I love receiving packages when I am at work, especially when I had a shit day. :)

Clean On Me Shower Gel - $14.95

The Righteous Butter Body Butter - $27.95

Flake Away Spa Body Polish - $17.95
Definitely my HG body exfoliator!!! I used this twice a week and it leaves my skin extremely smooth after and it smells so yummy too!

I will be doing a review on these Soap & Glory products soon as I really love them. :)

SHOPBOP.COM

I have always wanted the original Ray-Ban Wayfarers and when a friend of mine kindly informed me that ShopBop was having free shipping during Easter in between one of our "study breaks", I knew it was time. Gotta take advantage of the strong Australian Dollars!

Ray-Ban Oversized Wayfarers - Approximately $135 (if I am not mistaken).

This is definitely a steal, considering it retails for at least $200 in departmental stores. #OnlineshoppingFTW

You know you spent a little too much when you are unable to fit all your shopping hauls in one post. My credit card statement just arrived yesterday and it wasn't that pleasant. I think its about time place a shopping ban on myself. We will see about that.

Stay tune for Collection Part 2. :)

What have you haul-ed recently? Anything exciting?

A
