A little of everything =)

Hey lovelies!

How's going? TGIF - bring on the drinks & party, baybehhhh!!! =) Lucky for me, I have no work today (THANK GOD for that), definitely need this day off to run some errands and start my study plan for my CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) paper in December. Also, to get away from the fucked up management at work.
( A MASSIVE rant ahead, scroll down for beauty-related post if you don't want to spend 5 minutes going through my bitching)

For those who don't know, I am currently working as a casual market research interviewer- a shit job, really. Only things that keep me going are the pretty damn good pay and my awesome colleagues (I swear, without those guys at work, I would of probably be in the psychiatric ward instead of blogging here. I kid you not) The management is fked in the head - think bully, favouritism and WORST thing about them is, they don't act like one most of the times.

#1 rule: No matter how highly ranked you are in the hierarchy, treat your staffs with all due respect, just like how you want them to treat you. By that I mean, don't yell or have a go at them for petty stuff just to boost your ego or make you feel better about your position, which really, isn't any much better than anyone else besides the fact that you have been working there for yonks and your title is merely some "courteous" long service reward you get. In another words, any Tom, Dick & Harry can easily take over your position. So no, you're not much better than anyone of us. Hence, in the name of god, don't act as if someone died and make you king.

What happened was, I got a call from work after my shift yesterday and got told off for logging in using my username (which I use for another job) instead of the general user name, which apparently locked the computer and the next person after me had to restart the whole computer and wasted 10 fucking precious minute. Ok, I wouldn't deny the responsibility for this. But seriously, is it really necessary to call me up just to have a go for 5 minutes about it, repeating the same fucking sentence " Do not ever log in using your username".  I think not, especially after how you implied that every second is gold for you. =.="

FURTHERMORE, this is a fucking casual position, that means I put in MY availabilities for the shifts without having you to question WHY am I available (or not) at a certain time.. You don't have to have a massive sook about " I see you are scheduled for a day shift, why is it so?" and go " With what?" when I said I am busy. Oh, and add the " You don't have much use for me during the day shift"
Well, by achieving the strike rate during my shift for the past 2 days does not "have much use" to you, I wonder what is. From the way I interpret it, its more like because you don't come in till 1pm and not being able to "watch me" during the first 3 hours of the shift makes you iffy.

Oh and an abrupt " I gotta go now" while having a problem with me coming in early further indicates that the whole point of the phone call is to take out your anger/ frustration at someone. And clearly, you can't take it out on that poor, innocent guy/girl who took over my seat after I left. Hence, leading you to ring me up.
Reminder to self: Never pick up phone calls from work. It's NEVER something good.

What a scumbag. Honestly, I thought you have changed to be a better person and learn how to act like a team leader but I guess old habits die hard. What pisses me off even more is, myself. I was heaps tired and was just about to have a nap when I received the call, so I did not bother telling him off. Did not strike me what a total rude cuntface he was until I woke up. Serve you right for getting demoted. Would of probably feel much better if I told him off over the phone.

This is just one of the example of the fked up management.I know its the reality and there are always workforce politics and one should get use to it. But at my place, it's just fucked.

(Kudos to those who managed to read through it. Now that I have closed down my personal blog, I need a place to release my anger)

Why 2.0? I have tried this look about a month ago and instead of using a black liner on my lower lash line, I opted for a blue this time instead for a brighter look. I am using Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Pencil in Aqua Blue here.

For contouring, I used Prestige Baked Mineral Blush in Pink and ChiChi Mosaic Bronzer in Dark.
Lippie is still MAC Lipstick in Bubblegum =)

Lighting was kinda shit cos the weather here in Sydney has been nothing but gloomy & wet :(

Wore this look to the Aroma Festival on Sunday with my BFF, Missy CSJ ♥♥♥

* I added another layer of my Barry M Lipgloss (I don't know the name for it as it only comes in numbers for the ones sold in Sydney) on top of my lipstick in this photo*

The performance by this street performer along Circular Quay kinda left us WTF. Just in case you couldn't tell, his "partner" is actually a DOLL, a friggin DOLL! How creepy does that look?

Started the Sunday morning with some awesome coffee (Its Aroma Festival after all), some Peru-an Pie (which tasted just like Aussie pies tbh and cost me 5bucks! =.=") and this friggin awesome Pistachio macaroons. ♥

Outfit of the day (in Supre's fitting room LOL)
Black top: Cotton On
Sailor Cardigan: SES
Tights: SUPRE

Faux Leather Jacket : SES
Bag: Nine West

Lastly, just a couple of packages I received last week. =)

Speaking of packages, I blew some of my tax return (which I received yesterday *YAY*) on ASOS and Book Depository (An awesome website for you Aussies out there as most of the books here are half of the RRP and shipping is FREE! =P). Can't wait till I receive them!

Mini Brush Set from Gloss Cosmetics which I won from their twitter giveaway a few weeks back. =P

Consist of a foundation brush, angled blush brush, mascara wand? and an eyeliner brush.

Another package from Book Depository, which came in just in time - on the day I finished reading House Rules by Jodi Picoult

The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons which I am currently reading and am absolutely loving it! Just placed by order for the 2nd & 3rd book of the trilogy yesterday.
Dear John by Nicholas Spark - I have always been a fan of Nicholas Spark and apparently the movie is really good as well. Can't wait to start reading this too!

As you can probably tell, story books is one of my current obsession. Been spending some money on them lately. Let's hope I actually finish reading all the 6 books I ordered from Book Depository and they don't end up sitting on my book shelf like The Times Traveler Wife & Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. ( I will get to it, eventually.... I promise =P)

Have you read any of these books?

That's all for now, a relatively long post compared to my previous few.Next up, Barry M mini haul and swatches. =)

Hope you guys have a great weekend!!!!

FOTD ft MAC In The Groove

So, the whole MAC In The Groove hype has been circulating around the beauty blogosphere for quite a while and I have been looking forward to them since then. Living in the land down under not only means we have to pay a much higher price for these babies, there's also a time lag when it comes to the launching date.

Having such high anticipation on this collection also means that I have to check them out on the launch date itself, which was Monday, the 26th.
Being the sensible *cough* shopper I am, I managed to control myself not to go crazy at the MAC Counter and limit myself to 3 items. *Pats self at the back*

The 3 items that I got:
MAC Lipstick in Jazzed
MAC MSF in Stereo Rose
MAC Mineralized Blush in Hang Loose

I knew I had to get Hang Loose and Jazzed the moment I saw the swatches from temptalia. A little confession here, I did decide to get Stereo Rose because of all the hype, at the start. However, when the Make Up Artist in MAC applied it onto my cheeks, I knew it was a right decision made. =)

I am still debating whether I should get Mac Lipstick in I Like It Like That. It's a blue-based opaque pink but it reminds me of BubbleGum when I swatched it, just slightly more opaque than Bubblegum and a little creamier. It's such a pretty colour but blowing A$35 on a lipstick similar to the colour I already have doesn't exactly spell sensible.

Did any of you get I Like It Like That?

So, I had an interview (which turned out to be a 5 minute "chat session" and I did not get the role :( ) on Monday and I wore the Neutral Smokey Eye look *click* without the falsies and the Barry M Dazzle Dust.

I made an otherwise simple look a lil more vibrant by applying Stereo Rose & Jazzed and have I not already mentioned, HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM?

- With flash-
The coral peach lipstick matches my scarf that day and I absolutely love the glow I get from Stereo Rose. :)

- Without Flash-
Money well spent, nuff said :)

As much as I love them, I probably wouldn't wear it as often as it is more of a summer colour and the weather in Sydney lately has been anything but summer-ish. Think cold and wet. Will probably wait till the arrival of spring before I go crazy with them again, which is in about 5 weeks time! Can't wait!!! :D

What did you get from the In The Groove Collection? Any of the above?

How's your weekend so far? Time flies when you're having a great time. Thank god I have tomorrow off work but I have a few errands to run, an interview to go to (wish me luck!) AND its the launch of MAC In The Groove Collection here in Australia (bit late I know, its Australia we're talking about =.=") I foresee a productive day tomorrow and my wallet is probably ain't gonna be too happy at the end of the day too.

This is my FAVOURITE on the go look when I am on the rush or during the days where I am lack of creativity juice.

FOTD - Plum Wine

I know I am not exactly the best blogger in the past couple of weeks with the inconsistent updates. I blame it on my laptop for chucking a psycho at me everytime I try to edit my photos on Picassa. By chucking a psycho, I mean shutting down completely and shutting down again moments after I log into my lappie. I know I should be harassing the customer service representatives rather than whinging here on my blog but I am so attached to my laptop and rely on it so much that I am still not ready to send it to the hospital. =.="

how's your week been so far? It's Thursday already, that means another day till the weekend again! Gonna have a quiet and healthy weekend this week for the sake of my liver. =P Should start my detox plan soon and start getting ready for summer, which is in another 4months! Can't wait!! It has been getting ridiculously cold in Sydney lately. =/=

This was my EOTD over the weekend - wore this look on both Friday & Saturday =P

I was wearing black on both days so I thought it did be nice to add some colours on my eyes, just so I don't become Lady in Black who looks like she's attending a funeral.

* Please ignored my extremely disgusting & gross eyebrows. I didn't have the time to trim them before Aunty Rose's visit. Just a friendly reminder here (for those who don't already know), your skin is extra sensitive right before your period so unless you have to, try not to wax/ tweeze before your Aunty Rose's visit.*

On my LIPS
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude

Because I love my eye make up that night and I was in a camwhoric mode, hence the following shameless luvo pic LOL

I pained my nails with alternate colours, using both of my current favourites - China Glaze For Audrey and Refresh Mint

Also, I did mention on my twitter that I am now semi red-headed after getting some highlights done a week ago. My lovely hairdresser friend offered to highlight for me for only A$20 *win*
After experiencing a traumatic experience of having the WORST allergic attack (think deformed face - my entire face was swollen; my eye lids became 3 times thicker; my eyes could barely open and I had shitloads of blisters on my scalp . yes, it was that bad) after getting my hair dyed last year.

Had anyone of you have an allergic attack before due to hair dye?

Although I did *kinda* swear never to colour my hair ever again, I was really tempted after seeing all my in growns and realised how much I love my mahogany red colour I had. I wasn't sure if I should risk fucking around with my face again, so highlights in the best option and I LOVE how it turned out to be. =P

It looks like I have dyed my hair instead of highlights. :D :D :D

Outfit of the day (Friday)
Tunic Top: Cotton On
Bandage Dress (worn underneath) : Cotton On
Guitar Necklace: Diva

What's your favourite Saturday Night Out Look?

ps: I have also emailed the lucky follower for my micromini surprise here. Don't forget to check your inbox =P

FOTD - Neutral "Flipside" Pop

Hello lovelies,

How was your weekend? I had an awesome time, although my liver and thighs probably hated me for that. Oh well, detox plan starts tomorrow, and hopefully exercising too. It's takes you 1 day to break a routine you took 3 weeks to build. No doubt about that.

I am trying to catch up with my FOTDs and a couple of review & swatches coming up. I have been having a hard time editing my photos as my shit ass ASUS keeps shutting down on me after editing every 2 photos. Yeap, it was that bad. :(

This Neutral Pop FOTD was from Flo's birthday last weekend (as in a week ago, not 24 hours ago), which I haven't done in a while. It's perfect for days when you don't want to have overly dramatic eye make up but you want something funkier than the everyday neutral smokey look.

As it was only dinners and drinks, I opted for the more natural criss-cross falsies, which I absolutely *heart*.

* close up *

On my EYES
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Alice in the Wonderland BoS Palette
-Muchness (Lid Colour)
-Vorpal (Crease Colour)
-Mad Hatter ( Outter V)
Midnight Tea Party (Inner Tear Duct Area)
NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Cottage Cheese
Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Black (Upper Lash Line)
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Flipside (Lower Lash Line)
Random Asian Falsies from Malaysia
Rimmel Glam Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara in Black
ELF Eyebrow Kit in Medium

- This is the only close up "face" photo I got all night. *fail* -

On my FACE
Rimmel Hide the Blemishes Concealer Stick in Ivory
Revlon PhotoReady Foundation in Natural Beige
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Ivory Light
Chi Chi Mosaic Bronzer in Dark
Prestige Baked Mineral Blush in Pink

On my LIPS
MAC Viva Glam Gaga
Barry M Lipgloss

I paired this leopard printed top with jeans and my thigh high boots.=)

Ze birthday girl! <3

Do you prefer the good ol' neutral smokey look? Or are you a fan of that little "pop" to the entire look?

Mini Haul + A MICROMINI surprise :D

Hey lovelies,

My bad for ditching this little site of mine - I have quite a bit on my plate at the moment and my laptop has been crashing on me HEAPS this week, making editing photos a total bitch.
MACBOOK Pro definitely top my wish list atm (maybe apart from MAC In the Groove Collection LOL) as my current 1 yo ASUS is giving me a massive headache - it shuts down for no apparent reasons and when I try switching it on, it shuts down RIGHT AFTER I logged in and sometimes even before I logged into Windows. This can go on for an hour and I ended up giving up trying. Does any of you have problems like this? Enlighten the IT noob here, please.

I would like to share with you guys a couple of stuff I purchased from UXCELL.COM and a lil surprise at the end. I was first introduced to this "evil" website by a friend at work- where you're able to get iPhone casing for a much cheaper price. And being the girly girl I am, I LOVE pretty iPhone casings, don't we all? =P

Got this 2 during my first haul - I am so proud of myself for being able to limit myself from buying all the 23948203482348203840223423 pretty iPhone casing.

Why did I have to limit myself when they are much cheaper?

thanks to "insider information" (ie, my friend LOL), you get a USD 5 voucher along with your subsequent purchase and that cover part of the shipping costs.

Like most of the products selling at a wholesale price, you get ripped on the shipping costs and this is the case with UXCELL.COM too. Well, not exactly ripped, you just have to pay heaps - Its US5 for the first item and USD2 for the subsequent item (if I am not mistaken).

My second haul - an impulse purchase made when I was watching Spain V Portugal match cos I am awesome like this.

You can probably tell I love my pinks by now. =P The colour isn't the exact representation of the actual casing due to the lighting and being the noob I am, I don't really know how to fix it.

Bought this hair removal thing for USD 0.99 (excluding shipping) HOW CHEAP AYE? There was a hype about this hair removal product thing on YouTube a while back and if I am not mistaken, it costs more than USD10, which is WAY expensive compared to the one I got. Well, its still nicely wrapped and I am still yet to try it out. Hopefully, it does the job and doesn't hurt like a bitch!

Some random roller curls thingo that I bought out of curiosity cos it was cheap. Another sign of shopaholism - purchasing stuff cos it looks"cute and pretty" or cos its "so cheap"
I wanted to get the one in pink but they are out of stock and I don't really want to wait for a month or so for it, so I opted for baby blue instead.

Disclaimer: All products mentioned above are purchased with my own money.

Just so you know, its nothing big at all
Instead of using my 5 dollars voucher to purchase more stuff, I decide to give it away to one lucky follower of mine as a token of appreciation
I am sorry if you guys were expecting a massive giveaway. That will come eventually.=P

Just leave a comment below with your email address - so that I can email you the code number if you're the lucky one. :) AND let me know if you're a follower on google friend connect or twitter. =P

This is open till Sunday (18th of July 2010)  11:59 AEST.
