Spring Specials: FOTD featuring Sisley Phyto-Ombre E´clat in Garden Rose

Doesn't this Sisley Phyto-Ombre E´clat Eyeshadow in Garden Rose just screams spring? :D

When you think of spring, you think of gorgeous flowers in the shade of pink and lilacs; summer dresses with sandals; florals and the warm, crisp air! SPRING is what first popped into my mind when I received this beauty!!

If you have been following ThroughBeautyEyes for a while, you would probably already know that I am not usually adventurous when it comes to my eye make up, except for very special occasions, like my Harajuku inspired FOTD or Mermaid Inspired FOTD

It could be the lovely sunshine Sydney has been blessed as of late or it could be simply because Garden Rose is such a gorgeous shade - I decided to rock this pinkish EOTD during a recent Friday night out.

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

Make up done, now its down to the hair business.

Remember my post about achieving fuss - free waves using Scunci Pin Twirls? That was exactly how I rocked my hair along with my Garden Rose FOTD. Easy peasy way to give your hair some wavy curls!

Please note that my hair colour is WAY darker than that - I was just tweaking around with the lightings and effects and I loved this colour. Hmmm, serious consideration to be put into this colour as the summer 2012/2013 colour?

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

Yours truly got a little too engrossed in playing around with the different colour settings and effect and Picassa and VOILA - the results as follows:

Hope you enjoyed this "Spring FOTD" - it has been a while. =P

What are your favourite spring colours?

Love List #2

Love List. Pretty self explanatory I reckon.

Love List. A new feature on Through Beauty Eyes that will appear every fortnight (or weekly if my life became interesting out of a sudden).

Love List. It will be a list of "stuff" I am lovin at the moment.

This week I am loving:

L: Floral Jeans #LastFridayNight
R: Floral top with Spring-ish EOTD (Post to come soon!)
1. FLORAL prints

Floral jeans, floral top... you name it! Perfect print for spring!

Shelly Beach, NSW
2. BEACH.

Warmer weather only means chilling & tanning at the beautiful beaches Sydney is blessed with. Not to mention scrumptious brunch with a incredibly hot German waiter bringing you blankey. I have also discovered something whilst beaching it with a girlfriend yesterday - I find it relaxing by simply enjoying the view of parents and their kids playing and spending time at the beach.
Am I entering into a different phase of life?

3. NEW RSS FEED APP - FEEDDLER

As part of my "self-discovery" and "self-improvement" journey over the last week or so, I promised myself that I will feed myself more with information/ new skills related to social media & digital marketing world as well as the consulting industry.

What's better than an app that sync with all my Google Reader & RSS feed to keep me company on my train ride home?
This could also be another reason why I need an Ipad.

4. BIRCHER MUESLI & GREEK YOGURT & CHIA SEEDS

My new favourite brekkie habit - super fresh, healthy and most importantly it keeps you full and steer clear from your usual 11am munchies. LOVES! <3 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">

This brekkie can only get better when Sydney has abundance of summer fruits!!

5. POLE DANCING

If you are following me on Twitter or Facebook, you would have probably seen the influx of #PoleDancing related updates. Yeap, that's right. Yours truly have finally started pole dancing classes at le gym after putting it off for almost 1.5 years!

I am loving it so far - 3 lessons last week and I am proud to say I have finally able to do the Cleopatra & Climbing "moves"! *yays* However, I have ALOT to work on my arms & core strength! Prior to pole dancing, I thought I have pretty good upper body strengths with all the pump class & HIIT work out I have been doing - but trust me, pole dancing is bringing it to a whole new level!

For those of you who thinks pole dancing is a walk in the park, you might want to eat your words after watching this video:

Yeap, I know right!

What have you been loving this week?

Happy Monday, y'all!

XOXO,

WINTER WARMERS #2: NIGHT CARE

I know, its spring now. Why is the word "Winter" still showing up in your posts, Adeline? Winter is all history, for the year 2012 at least.

Well well, if you remember my post approximately 2 weeks ago, I am wrapping up my winter favourites in my Winter Warmer series and today's post happens to be the second instalment of it and its all about my night skincare products.

Just a quick recap and an excerpt from my previous post regarding my skin conditions:

"Before I go on with my product talks, allow me to have a quick run through about my skin type and what not. I have really dry skin and it gets flaky in some extreme days. However, due to some unknown reasons, instead of flaking this winter, I started to develop rashes on my left cheeks and hives on my forehead. They are as temperamental as a woman's hormones and it comes and disappears as they wish. Randomly.

The products above are the ones that I use in the better days - when the rashes and hives get a tad too overwhelming (ie redness & bumps), I switched to my trusty steroid cream and sorberlene cream as moisturiser."

NIGHT CARE PRODUCTS:
(in chronological orders in term of products application)

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate (RRP $59.00)*: "One night, two drops, younger looking skin in the morning" - Kiehl's claims that it replenishes skin with moisture and helps to recover radiance by morning. I can't be too sure about the recover radiance part but my skin definitely feels more hydrated and moisturised after using this. With lavender essential oil as one of its key ingredients, apart from reducing the skin blotchiness, it smells really lovely and helps calm your mind down and prepare you for a good night sleep. Two drops everynight is all you need.

The Jojoba Company Intense Overnight Renewal Creme (RRP $52.95)*: This Overnight Renewal Creme claims to nurture collagen production, repairs the appearance of skin, and of course hydrate the skin with beneficial ingredients such as green tea, Beta Glucan, Vitamin A&E, Hyaluronic acid and Argan Oil. Rich, moisturising and natural, exactly what I need on a cold winter night. This will probably go to the storage in the warmer months though as I tend to stick to water-base moisturisers in spring/ summer.

(Not pictured) Kiehl's Midnight Recover Eye (RRP $44.00)*: Following the successful introduction of Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Kiehl's introduces its ideal companion to help achieve fresher, younger looking eyes in the morning by dimisnishing puffiness and fine lines & wrinkles. Not as refreshing as The Jojoba Company Cucumber + Guava Firming Eye Gel (as mentioned HERE), Kiehl's Midnight Recover Eye has a much thicker consistency and I did notice that after using this for almost 3 months, I do wake up with less puffier eyes in the morning.

Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel (RRP approximately $20): This is a replacement for my Clinique Moisture Surge and is the final step of my routine to "lock in" my serum and moisturiser before hitting the sack. As the name suggests, it is water base and feels extremely hydrating on the skin. I love the "cooling" feeling of this gel when applied - it's like an instant hydration boost to my face.  However, compared to the other products I am using, this is probably the "least natural" of all. Hence, I tend to stay clear of this whenever my skin go psychotic on me and rashes is popping up everywhere.

(I got mine from Malaysia during my most recent trip back but unfortunately, I don't think they stock this here in Australia. If you are looking for something similar, Clinique Moisture Surge is probably the closest but the price will be slightly more expensive.)

The Jojoba Company 100% Natural Jojoba Oil (RRP $19.95)* : Jojoba Oil is well known as a powerful moisturiser and it helps soothes and balances the skin. It is no longer a news that I have really sensitive skin and it goes crazy during the change of seasons. I put my Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate on hold whenever my rashes became more visible and switch to the good ol' Jojoba Oil to help restore my skin (which usually takes a couple of days). Definitely a good alternative to the conventional serum if you try to go au naturale with your skincare.

Have you tried any of the products above?
What are your favourite Winter Night Care products?

DISCLAIMER: I am not a certified dermatologist or skin specialist. These products are based on trial and error and what I find suits my skin most. Please consult your dermatologist or skin specialist should you have any concerns regarding your skin as I do not hold any responsibilities with my recommendations above. FASHION FRIDAY: PEPLUM LOVE

TGIF lovelies!

It's Friday again and its Fashion Friday time!

I don't know if it's due to the convenience of the perfect full length mirror in the elevator of my new place or the fact that I am starting to enjoy playing dress up - but this Fashion Friday segment seems to be going well! I hope you guys enjoy it too!
(I should probably invest in a proper camera & tripod and stop taking reflection shots using my trusty iPhone4S)

You don't need to be a fashion-fanatic to know that Peplum is the "Justin Bieber" in the fashion world. Peplum is rising to its fame in the fashion world, Peplum has been making its appearance everywhere - on the street, at the business district, in the bar, at Sunday brunches.......

It was love at first sight with Peplum when it made its first appearance - but it was quite a mission for me to find "the one" as most Peplum doesn't quite complement my body shape.

Hence, you could probably imagine how happy I was when I finally came across "the one" from Ally!

Pair it with a bodycon jungle green skirt;

And my new steels from Rubi

From RUBI, $10 for everything. Yes, that's right! :)
Steels (especially the ones in Rose Gold) is definitely one of my spring favourites which made my first Love List! :)

Peplum Top: Ally
Bodycon Skirt: Dotti
Tweed Jacket: Forecast
Loafers: ZU
Studded Bag: Dotti
Accessories: Rubi, EQUIP, Sports Girl
Sunnies: MnG

Wore this outfit on my Saturday brunch out with le big sister, whom I haven't seen in yonkers!

<3 p="p">

With Miss Cindy, who writes at Fashionably Yummy ! :)

Is Peplum Love a yay or nay for you?

*peace out*

Love List #1

Love List. Pretty self explanatory I reckon.

Love List. A new feature on Through Beauty Eyes that will appear every fortnight (or weekly if my life became interesting out of a sudden).

Love List. It will be a list of "stuff" I am lovin at the moment.

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

1. Waves & Curls.

I don't know if its due to the fact that spring is here and wavy manes are sexy or is it the fact that my hair is finally long enough to pull of tight curls. Either one, I am lovin them over my straight hair now.

2. BRIGHT lippies!

Now that the colder months are gone, its time to bring these bright babies out to play again! Neutral eyes and statement lips? Definitely my go-to-look this Spring/ Summer.

My Current Go-Tos: Rimmel Lasting Finish By KATELipsticks/ Nutrimetics Hydra Brilliance Lipstick/ Australis Color Inject Limited Edition Lipsticks

3. Studs & Steels

Laces & Frills - whhaaa? Give me these bad boys over laces anytime.

4. Fitness

Strong is the new skinny. Enjoying my daily endorphin production sesh at the gym and lovin' that I am getting stronger each day. Next in line though, FIX MY DIET!

5. Bare legs - sans stockings/ tights.

After being trapped in stockings/ tights/ jeans over the past 5 months or so, I believe its time to give those legs their very much required dose of Vitamin D. Absolutely lovin the fact that I am able to rock em' shorts and skirts again!!! Who's with me???

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

A combination of my fav - Spring, Bright Lips, Wavy Curls. <3 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">

What's on your current love list?

A
