OUTFIT OF THE DAY: ACCESSORIZED

Happy hump days! 

I could so do with some mid week bubbly time! Who's with me? =P

I am not sure about you, but I tend to "dress up" slightly on Fridays - be it accessories, a "dressier" piece of clothing or even a more sultry make up look. To me, the word "Friday" also act as a double agent for sneaky drink at lunch, after work drinks which may potentially lead to some shenanigans with all the dancing happenin'. 

Instead of sipping a glass of Sauvignon Blanc #LikeAClassyLady at your favourite bar in your Monday-Thursday, prim and proper and maybe a tad boring corporate wear, why not spice up your outfit a little with some accessories?

Here's a breakdown of what I wore last Friday:

Never underestimate what a simple but elegant statement necklace can do to your otherwise casual/dull outfit.

My dress would have looked plain and somewhat casual without the statement necklace! In fact, I had quite a few colleagues wondering if I had a special event that night as they reckon I was "pretty dressed up". In fact, this is one of my more "couldn't be bothered" Friday outfits.

What I think about this baby?

Does it live up to what Lancome claimed to be?

It hit right on the spot. (no pun intended =P ). 

It looks matte on the tube, but is extremely moisturising when applied on the lips. Lasting power is beyond amazing, as tested by yours truly (you will find out why very shortly). Not to mention, extra brownie points for the super chic and sleek packaging! 

DEFINITELY LOVIN IT!

Lancome Rouge In Love pretty much covers everything you can ask for in a lipstick!

However, if you really want me to pick a bone in this, I would have to say its "numbering system". Whilst I love my numbers (like any other accountants duh), numbers and classifying does not go well together. It's so much easier remembering names like RedHotDamn or CherryPop rather than 351B or 377N. AND, maybe the price tag as $45 is pretty steep for a lipstick. I am sure many of you are on the same page as me on this. 

I think I have done enough talking and babbling and let the swatches and photos do the explaining now, shall we?

With FLASH

Natural Light

For some reasons, the colour turned out to be quite different under natural light and with flash. In this instance, the one with flash is definitely way more true to the actual colour. 

As can be seen from the swatches above, 163M is a bright red colour with a coral undertone. It's a gorgeous combination of bloody red and coral in my opinion. The perfect pick-me-up lipstick in this deary cold weather!

 

With the insanely chilly weather the past couple of days here in Sydney, I have been opting for bright coloured lipsticks to "pick me up" and make myself feel more positive at the start of the day. No prize for guessing which lipstick has been frequently reached out as of late. =P

After going through a "smokey look" phase (FOTD and how-to HERE) , I am back to neutral eyes and bright bold lip colours again.  Instead of the typical taupe/ champagne lid colour, I replaced it with this lovely duo chrome peach shade from my INGLOT eyeshadow palette. 

A FOTD post with this eye look coming up very soon as I have been lovin' this eye + lips combination lately (which happens to be my daily FOTD as of late), so stay tune for that ladies!

[EVENT] LANCOME MEDIA LAUNCH - VISIONNAIRE, 29 St Honore´Fall Color Collection and Tresor Midnight Rose fragrance

Happy Sunday everyone! 

The sun is finally out after a whole miserable week and half of cold and WET weather. Apparently, it's gonna be sunny all of next week. Like, finally! A quick errands run turned out to be a mini shopping trip with a pair of new runners (finally!) and heaps of PINK storage items from Hot Dollar. I should really be sitting at my desk typing my audit assignment away =.=" After this post, I promise.

One of the many downsides of working full time while blogging part time is, unable to attend day events due to work commitments. Thank god for after work hours events. =) However, when I received the invite to Lancome Media Launch with the presence of an international speaker, I knew I had to take half a day off work for it. 

And I am glad I did.  Work was pretty bad for me that week that I am on the verge of hitting breaking point and I would feel even worst if I missed such a great event because of something shit. 

The was held at a private residence @ Vaucluse, one of the most affluent suburbs in Sydney. Needless to say, all the beauty bloggers were blown away by the jaw-dropping harbour view from the mansion! 

Sugar daddy, where are you? LOL
