EVENT: Converse X Gorillaz #DoYaThing Launch @ Luxe Studio

2 weeks ago, I woke up with a massive hangover and the thought of having to make it to work is caused a spiral of tornado within my intestines and possibly my liver too with the cocktails & CC dries I consumed the night before. Needless to say, Friday was painful that day but that only meant I had a pretty epic shenanigan the night before, thanks to Converse X Gorillaz #DoYaThing Launch @ Luxe Studio by SweatyBettyPR

Do Ya Thing!

We were greeted by these yummy cocktails (by yummy, I met the ones in the short glass behind =P) upon arrival and I had 4 of them by the end of the event.

#AlcoholicAnnonymous

These Converses are NOW available HERE
Let's face it, we all know that Adeline isn't exactly a "con" or "chucks" or "sneakers" person. I have NEVER owned a pair of Converse in my entire life. True story. However, I was hoo-haa-ing over these gorgeous collaboration sneakers, especially the one on the bottom left corner! HAWT!

An from Lemon Lime Glitters - my partner in crime back in the uni days, photographer of the night, Iron Man *inside joke* and also my + 1 for the night. :)

Us being silly here =P

Don't forget to drop by Lemon Lime Glitters  and show her some love. :)

Guess who I met at the event? :)

Yes, that glass of wine is 4 cocktails later (Y) #goingstrong
Rochelle Fox from AFoxThatMeows, who looks way more gorgeous in real life!

She's like Barbie came to life! <3

Just a few shots with the Converse X Gorillaz #DoYaThing "wallpaper":

Not the most glamorous shot but I love the spontaneity of this photo!

We decided to be "adventurous" and set off to our very own after party. :) What we wanted to do was to have a drink at every bar on Oxford St on the way back to the city but what we did was stopping by Shady Pines Saloon (the name don't lie, it was hidden in the middle of a dodgy ally way but the bar was surprisingly awesome and was pretty packed for a Thursday!), then the Colombian (you know you had too many drinks when your pitt stop includes Colombian) and BAM - Scary Canary!

@The Columbian
@Scary Canary

Hey, don't judge! Scary Canary went off on a Thursday night and they now serve this cool drink in a funky fluro jug to replace the good ol' buckets!

FOTD
Rockin' Red Lips in conjunction with International Women's Day. #RockTheLips

Featuring Ciccone Cosmetics Lipstick in Voluptuous (Reviewed HERE)

Once again, thanks SweatyBettyPR for the invite and throwing such a fantabulous party (as usual :D). Don't forget to check out this spanking new and awesome collaboration collection HERE.

TGIF lovelies !!!  I thought that this definitely is a Friday-appropriate post.
Have a great weekend everyone! <3

REVIEW & SWATCHES: Ciccone Cosmetics Lipsticks

Today, I will be introducing our good ol' Aussie Brand, Ciccone Cosmetics

In celebrating 10 years in the industry,  Ciccone Cosmetic  release their high coverage, long lasting lipsticks that are inspired by femininity and womanhood, in its new fuchsia and diamante packaging "It's a Bling Thing".

Ciccone Cosmetics lipsticks contain powerful active ingredients such as jojoba oil, evening primrose oil and calendula oil to help moisturise, condition and protect the lips from the elements while vitamin E helps soothe and repair.

I was lucky enough to be sent 4 gorgeous Ciccone Cosmetics lipsticks from Fame PR to try out a couple of months ago.

L-R Voluptas, Oceanus, Cupid, Hera
They are all pretty true to the actual colour except for Oceanus. It appears to be a bright orange in the photo, but it is actually coral IRL.

VOLUPTAS

A poison apple red, which reminds me of Snow White. Definitely the colour to go for a statement lips.

CUPID

A cool pink colour with a slight lilac undertone. This is definitely a colour for the colder days.

OCEANUS

Peachy-coral tone which is also my absolute favourite of the lot! I have used them in my Spring Is In The Air FOTD and Lavender Smokey Eyes FOTD

HERA

A soft, cool pink colour, which I reckon is pretty similar to Cupid.

SWATCHES:

Clockwise from top left corner: Cupid, Voluptas, Oceanus & Hera
With Flash

Clockwise from top left corner: Cupid, Voluptas, Oceanus & Hera
Without Flash

WHAT I THINK:

I am absolutely IN LOVE with these lippies, especially Oceanus! Definitely my spring/summer favourite! The formula is extremely creamy and glides on my lip like magic. Whilst the formula isn't super drying but lip scrubs and moisturising is advised prior to applying these babies. It is super pigmented too, as you can probably already tell from the swatches.

Each lippie costs $25, which is pretty reasonable in the Australian market (RRP for MAC lippie is $35 and RRP for Illamasqua lippie is $39), especially for the quality that you get. Definitely worth every penny!

COMPARISON SWATCHES:

I have done a comparison swatches with the lipsticks from my collection, that I had in mind when I first open these pretty lipsticks. I hope it gives you guys a better idea of the colours! :)

I have included both without flash (top shot) and with flash (bottom shot) swatches. So enjoy!

HERA, CUPID & FLOMAR MATTE 35

VOLUPTAS, REVLON TRUE RED & RIMMEL ALARM

COVER GIRL RAPTURE, OCEANUS & MAC SHY GIRL

FOTD - Lavender Smokey Eyes ft The Body Shop London Brush Eye Palette and OOTD!

As promised, I am trying to be more consistent with my posting. I have a couple of reviews and new products to share with you guys but that takes a longer time as swatches and proper writing are required as opposed to FOTD/OOTD posts.

So, it is VERY rare (or maybe even never) that I would post the FOTD/OOTD the next day.  They are usually way backlogged and probably only appears... 4-6 weeks later. #failbeautyblogger. Well, it is an exception this time because I really like my out-of-my-comfortzone (ie neutrals) FOTD and I got to wear maxi dress!

Lion Hair Take #1

Lion Hair Take #2

Lion Hair Take #3

Just in case you guys thought that I spent hours "styling" my hair, this is merely my bad, gross, dirty, unwashed hair prior to putting them up into a bun. I do, however, quite like the effect of it! =)

*Please ignore the disgusting state of my mane and focus on the GORGEOUS Oceanus kthxbye*

Ok, I promise this is my last luvo pic =P
(I can't help it as I loved the eye colours and the lipstick!)

Big Breakfast @ Mickeys Cafe, Paddington
My absolutely yummy-licious brunch with a girlfriend today. Super love their hash browns - which is kinda like potato strips pancake. <3

Oh haiz, I am headless!

I reckon this is a pretty cool "headless" photo of mine thanks to the backlight effect and my shitty iPhone 3GS camera! What says you?

Have you tried any FOTD outside your comfort zone lately?
What are your thoughts on the colours of The Bodyshop London Collection Eye Palette in A La Mode?

Have a great week ahead lovelies!
