UPDATES & INSTAGRAM-ED V2

It's the ever dreadful Monday again - my most favourite day of the week, NOT.
But instead of whinging like a little kid, I am trying (keyword: TRYING) to be more positive and have a quick "picture reflection" of the past week or so.

As you can see, ThroughBeautyEyes.Com has undergone a "minor operation" over the weekend - it looks much simpler now than before than far from what I have in mind! But those changes are going to gradual as I have heaps of tweaking to do! So, please bear with the current one for the time being. :D
DO YOU LIKEY THE NEW LAYOUT? ;)

WARNING: There might be quite *a few* #foodporn photos as you scroll down, please do that at your own risk. I will not be responsible for any hunger caused. =P

Yours truly posing with her "vicarious" shopping from HK - MAC Watch Me Shimmer Lipstick ( I LOVE) and Revlon Lip Butter in Macaron.
(Huge thanks to BFF - Miss Wendy and Co)

Sneak peak of my FOTD rockin' my new fav - MAC Watch Me Shimmer Lippie <3
Stay tune!

My current obsession - Banana, Mango & Passionfruit smoothie from Top Juice!

LOVES the smoothie and juices from Top Juice as they use pure fruits with no added sugar, except they are pretty exy $$$!

$12 Steak + Shoestring Chips @ Bar Luca
BEST STEAK & CHIPS EVER, nuff said!

Although Bar Luca is situated at the other side of my "hood" - towards Wynyard - Circular Quay area, I am considering making a weekly visit just because their steak and chips are SO.WORTH.IT.

One of my "beasty" brekkie - Teriyaki Chicken Sushi and Smoked Salmon Salad Roll

Jurlique's New Rose Moisture Plus with Antioxidant Complex Range!!!

I have heard so many good reviews about Jurlique products - can't wait to try these babies out! May I add that these products smell absolutely divine?

Packages that make my otherwise mundane day at work slightly better :)

And this time, it's all about Sample Boxes! I was sent a few sample boxes over the past few months, so I will be doing a more detailed post on what I think about sample boxes soon rather than just showcasing the products as you have probably seen it around other blogs already. :)

Hump Day FOTD - green smokey eyes using my fav Stardust eyeshadow from Sisley Mystic Harmony Collection (Reviewed & Swatched HERE) just because I felt like it. :)

Team Lunch @BonaFides
Grilled prawn salad with extra haloumi on the side. SUPER NOMS!

Lunch with the girlies @ Bonafides
Fettucini with ricotta, chilli lime dressing and grilled prawns with extra chilli on the side.
I am pretty sure the picture itself illustrates HOW DELISH it was!

Yes, I did go to Bonafides on Thursday and Friday - simply because it is just down the road from where I work and they serve pretty decent food! Anything with grilled prawn is yums - their steak on the other hand was just mediocre!

Weekend NOTD - A holographic polish I got from Morning Glory a LONG time ago! And I forgotten how gorgeous this shade is! :)

Saturday readings - Rae Morris Timeless MakeUp & CLEO Mag!

Brunch @Robocog, Surry Hills

Grilled Haloumi with salsa on rosemary sourdough with extra churizo & scrambled eggs on the side.
SUPER YUMS - albeit I felt like I was 2 months preggos after demolishing everything on the plate!

Our first photo shoot sesh together @ a quiet laneway in Surry Hills! Stay tune :D

That pretty much sums up what's been happenin for the past week and what I got up to over the weekend. Nothing interesting as you can tell, it always involves food & make up. =.="

NOTE TO SELF: Stop drafting post with FOOD in midnight, especially when your stomach is grumping, yearning for a good scrumptious supper. It is quite torturous.

What did you lovelies get up to over the weekend?
Anything interesting and/or fun? Do share. :)

Have a great week ahead!! <3

A

PHOTO DIARY: I 'm Back & Updates

HEY LADIES!!!

Before I go on about my disappearance from this little space once again, HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY to all my aussie readers. :) Aussie Aussie, OI OI OI! To my readers from other continents, its the EVE and Thank God Its Friday tomorrow! :)

Tattoo courtesy of Glossy Box

As you may have already know from twitter, I was on vacation for three weeks in Malaysia (God, I miss my holidays). I had quite a hard time getting back on the blogging wheels as I have been trying to get back to the 9-5 routine, unpacking and reorganising (which is no where near done btw =.="), looking for a new place, and a strings of events to kick start the new year (stay tune for the launch of new products in 2012 :D). But I have a lists of posts lining up for Feb. :)

Digression.

Here's just a few a whole lots of photos to depict what's been happenin in the land down under since I got back:

Sneak preview of the upcoming NP Set Colourful Collection - Glam Set & Red Carpet Set
NP Set Colourful Collection Preview Launch last Wednesday - can't wait to share this collection with you guys in Feb!

Baked Eggs @ Reuben Hills, $14

Brunch at Reuben Hills with W last Sunday. Reuben Hills is a tiny cafe located at Surry Hills with a rather unique menu.

Ice Cream Sandwich with salted caramel
This was amazing albeit the salted caramel was a tad too salty.

The dragon "statue" at Central Park in conjunction with Chinese New Year.

What I Wore:
Top & Bubble Shorts - Nichi (Malaysia)

What I Wore:
Shoes - Sports Girl

What I Wore:
Bag - Blook (Malaysia)

What I Wore:
Sunnies - MNG

What I Wore:
Rings from Curve Market (Malaysia)

On My Nails:
The Face Shop Face It Nail Polish in BK901

W and I chilled at Hyde Park to soak up the limited sun - and guess who's the genius who was so keen for cider that she totally forgotten to check that this is not a screw top? =.="

Tammerly & I @ Photobooth
Diesel Loverdose Fragrance Launch @ Diesel HQ, Paddington on Tuesday.

WHICH SERVES VODKA CRANBERRY IN A SYRINGE!!!

Yes, I am easily amazed. No, but seriously, how awesome is this! :P

GlossyBox Bloggers Party @The Loft on Australia Day Eve.

A special mention to the girls from GlossyBox for organising such a great event and I had a wonderful time despite the extremely gay and disgusting weather. (Think: thunderstorm and rain ALL DAY). It's always great to catch up with the fellow beauty bloggers over some delicious nibbles and some bubbles.

Complimentary Bushell Tea Cocktail in conjunction with Australia Day + Pavlova
Definitely a unique drink to remember but that toffee liquor certainly didn't have much effect.

The INCREDIBLY generous goodie bag that was gifted at the end of the night! There are quite a few products that I am pretty keen on trying! Will definitely keep you girls posted. :)

Rocking a bright orange lips on Australia Day! Spot the kangaroo ;)

Poached Eggs, Haloumi, Grilled Tomatoes and Avocado on Sourdough Rye
Late brunch at Mickey's Cafe, Paddington.

1L of White Sangria between W and I
What's Australia Day celebration without booze? Although we weren't hip enough to have a scnitty and cider at a pub yo! LOL It was lovely to have some exposure to Vitamin D today (by intervals, may I add) after a couple of crappy, rainy days.

Nail of the Week - ORLY Nail Lacquer in Forever Crimson.

Before logging off, here's a sneak peak of what's coming up next:

My loot from Singapore Duty Free. :)

And of course, swatches and reviews of some amazing products that I have recently haul-ed and discovered. :)

Alright mates, that's all for today. Time to hit the sack as I have another day of work before the weekend. IF only I had enough leave to enjoy a long weekend. Bummerrrrr! But,

GUESS WHO'S GOING TO KANYE WEST TOMORROWWWW????

:D

PS: My Kiwiberry Giveaway is ending in 5 days! Don't forget to ENTER if you haven't already! :)

IM BACK! - SNEAK PEAK INTO ABBW2011/ IMATS SYDNEY 2011

Happy HUMP DAY lovelies!

ThroughBeautyEyes.Com is finally back from that hiatus of mine! I was busy preparing for my Chartered Accountant Program Audit Exam and have been busy with events since then. I am still trying to recover from my lack of rest/sleep since last Tuesday and its still not happenin' and will not be until the long weekend!

I have also just attended the inaugural Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend 2011 that was founded and organised by Jacie from You've Got Nail and Kimmi from The Plastic Diaries.

The event was beyond amazing albeit a tad too full on - it was great to finally put faces together with twitter/blog and meet the Aussies bloggies!

I am still trying to "recover" from the massive weekend and my room is still in its "hurricane-struck" state. Hence, just a couple of photos (which isn't that sufficient IMO) to illustrate what an awesome weekend it has been. More detailed posts will be coming up soon! (No empty promises this time! ;D)

Goodies bags I received from Day 01, except for the IMATS bag which was my mini haul :)
I got a muscle ache from carrying all these goodies bags the next day and I had to get picked up because the sponsors were THAT generous that it was impossible to lug it home via public transport!

@Beauty Blogger Gala 2011 organized by the Maxted Thomas PR, which was absolutely mindblowing. More on that later! :)

(because I haven't had the time to take my own.)

Dana,Kylie,Tammerly, Yours truly.

Our failed attempt is trying to look like Lady Gaga but looks more like an Asian peace sign pose instead, me thinks.

Face of Australia Masterclass

Bahar Etminan from RESCU_ which probably gave the best speech during the weekend! It was simply inspiring!

Yes, I went a little crazy at INGLOT.

I hope you enjoy this little sneak peak to IMATS/Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend 2011 of mine, definitely more to come! I am just about to reply to all comments and emails after work today, my apologies to those who haven't heard back from me in the past 2-3 weeks!

Did you attend IMATS/ ABBW2011? Did you enjoy it?
