THROUGH BEAUTY EYES 2013 CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

It's that time of the year to be festive and jolly! Quite possibly my favourite time of the year - summer, family & friends, food & wine, holidays, presents... what not to love?

However, presents can be a tough one sometimes, especially when the market is OVERLOADED with options. And unlike last year, I am slightly early in helping you with your decisions and not get carried away by the shiny christmas packs. :P Skin Care, Body Care, Candles, Make Up OR Nails, got you all covered.

So, to make things a little easier for you girls, I have either "BFF" or/and "Mum" badge on each Christmas pack.

BFF: it could be for your best friend, sister, cousin... pretty much anyone that you have a pretty good understanding of and is around the same age as you are.

Mum: Pretty self-explanatory isn't it?

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

The Jojoba Company Limited Edition Christmas Starter Pack (RRP $59.95): The Jojoba Company products are suitable for all skin type and all ages so this is a pretty fail proof pressie for a friend who is new to the skincare world. It helps fight everything from ageing to acne, nappy rash and eczema. Tried and tested by yours truly, I can definitely vouch for them. :) The Pure Jojoba Oil  has saved my life when I was going through a bad phase of rashes/ eczema. It's pretty much the only product that doesn't sting when applied.

This certified organic brand by our dear Jamie Durie is one of the newer players in the market but has already established a pretty strong name for themselves since launch. This would definitely be a winner for that girlfriend of yours who only use certified organic products.

PFP Nuture From Nature (RRP $49.95): Consisting of (white tea, aloe, witch & hazel) cleanser & make up remover, (rose, otto, burdock, kakadu &; plum) mist toner and (rosehip, gingko & shea) Day Cream, this pack would definitely be a winner for that girlfriend of yours who only use certified organic products.

PFP Organic Shea Nourishing Pack (RRP $24.95): The ideal care kit for the cold weather with a 150mL Gingko, coconut & shea Body Cream and a Manuka honey shea organic Lip Balm. Have a girlfriend that is going for a holiday in the Northern Hemisphere soon? Perfecto. If not, it is never too early to stock up for winter. ;)

Jurlique Herbal Recovery Christmas Pack (RRP$199) : The products from this range are light on the face but made of potent botanicals and antioxidants to help smooth fine lines and leave you with a fresh & revitalized skin. In a mood to spoil your loved ones? This is the pack to go for (or the Age Defying Essentials for some anti-aging care)

Jurlique Purely Age-Defying Essentials Christmas Pack (RRP $168.99) - After all the years of hard work and care your mum had for you, I think she deserves to be spoilt. What's better than this pack of goodies consisting of higher performance anti-aging botanicals which helps to smooth wrinkles and even skin tone? Your mum will definitely appreciate the fact that she will look 20 years younger in no time. :P

L'occitane Romantic Rose Collection (RRP $110): Another favourite of mine from L'occitane, which combines four different type of roses to give you the ultimate romantic scent! This collection includes EDT, Bath Soap. Bath & Shower Gel, Hand Cream, Body Milk and a Perfumed Sachet. Full pampering session = sorted.

LUSH Christmas Pack: A christmas is NOT christmas without Snow Fairy. #truestory As expected, Christmas time means a vast variety of Christmas gift guides combining a range of different scent and shapes. Try not to go crazy in the store and ended up filling up your own stocking with all the LUSH goodies instead ;) No prizes for those who guessed what my favourite Gift Pack from LUSH is :P Celebrate this jolly season with some #crueltyfreechristmas LUSH products!

Jurlique Limited Edition Sugared Spice (RRP $35.00): A warm scent of brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and a gorgeous blend of sugared fruits preserves made from strawberry, cherry, apple, plum, raspberry and a touch of citrus - THE winning combination for a bedside candle. I have yet to burn mine and I am already in love with the scent, can't imagine what my room will smell like when I could finally be bothered to repurchase a lighter. This would make a great gift for someone who enjoys a good and relaxing pampering sesh.

Molton Brown Frankincense & Allspice Trio (Hand wash & Hand Lotion - RRP $39 each; Single Wick Candle - RRP $85): Molton Brown simply shouts sophistication, elegance and luxury, This is a pretty awesome way to trick your mum/ girlfriend that they are living in a historic, 1800s English castle. ;)  Unlike Sugared Spice, I personally think this is more of a lounge room/ main area kinda scent. You could either buy them as an individual gift or make it a trio gift pack - brownie points for extra options!

The Body Shop Honeymania collection (Bubble Bath Melt - RRP $24.95; Body Scrub - RRP $27.95; Shower Gel - RRP $12.95): Big fan of the honey scent? This is the collection for you - perfect gift for someone who prefers a more subtle scent.

Napoleon Perdis Imperial Collection (RRP $89): " The Imperial Collection captures regal elegance with a necessary hint of drama" - NAPOLEON | With four gorgeous shade of eyeshadows and lip colours AND the classy gold nail polish, the looks to be created from this collection is endless.

Napoleon Perdis Limited Edition Empress Eyeshadow Palette (RRP $79): This palette consisting 12 beautiful eye colours has become a permanent fixture in my handbag as it is perfect for touch up and giving you the option to change or intensify your look from day to night.

Mary Kay At Play Collection box: This is a custom-made giftbox consisting of 4 At Play Baked Eyed Trios and 2 of the At Play Jelly lipgloss. How cute is the box?!? I love a good Christmas gift box that comes with a range of different make up from eyes to cheeks to lips as that's the best way to experiment a range of new products! The only downside about Mary Kay products is you would need to look for a "beauty consultant" before you could order them.

Models Prefer Nail Emanel Christmas Pack (RRP $20): This is a no brainer gift if your friend has the habit of looking up #nailporn and #instanail before she kickstarts her day. At $20 for EIGHTEEN nail polishes, I can almost guarantee you that you will get a massive hug & even kisses on your cheeks when this present makes its way out of the wrapper.

These are gift ideas for your loved ones (read: more than just an acquaintance or drinking buddy) as these presents are pretty personal. You will need a petty good understanding of their skin type, favourite scent and what not...
Stay tune for the next Gift Guide edition: stocking fillers and Kris Kringle present ideas. ;)

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, it ain't Christmas without some giving right?

PHOTOLOG: Of #MBFWA and #CAStudyBreak

Howdy everybody! Another gorgeous day in Sydney - it seems like we have been getting the summer days we never had with the abundance of sunshine lately. Shame I don't have much of a chance to enjoy Mr. Sunshine.

If you have been following me on twitter or instagram (@ThroughBeautyEyes), you would have probably came across alot of #CARelatedTweets. Yes, it's that time of the year again where yours truly become a hermit in the name of CA (Chartered Accountant Program) and does nothing but sexing my notes and eating non-stop with zero exercise.

It has been a while since I last updated - #badblogger so just a couple of snippets from the past 2 weeks to keep you posted re my mundane life. But fret not, ThroughBeautyEyes.Com will resume in full force post 8 May 2012 once I take Taxation paper down #likeaboss.
(gotta stop speaking #twitter language!)

FOTD - SUNSET

Hello lovelies! :)

This FOTD reminds me of sunset somehow, though its not really a sunset inspired look. *shrugZ*

FOTD- SMOKE IT OUT + WEEKEND AWESOMENESS

Hey lovelies,

How was your weekend? Did yours flew by too? Mine most certainly did and I shall not bore you guys with the usual Monday Blues whinging. =P My weekend was great! Beyond great actually. A good mixture of partying and relaxing time, definitely something I needed to take my mind off all the shit that is going on at the moment.

Since the most of you didn't mind me sharing some of my personal stuff in between my beauty related posts, I shall have a recap of what I did last weekend. :D

What a perfect way to start my weekend off with dinner & dessert ( I LOVE GREEN TEA YOGURT =P) with the girlies and Sex and the City II after.

- I love love LOVE Sarah Jessica Parker, her clothes and shoes in the movie are TO-DIE-FOR! And I love the way she carries herself and the confidence that she oozes out. ♥-
Despite all the bad reviews I have read prior to the movie, I really enjoyed the movie and find myself cracking up laughing like a hyena many times and of course the FASHION, which is pretty much the most anticipated part in this movie. Oh, not to forget, the EYE-CANDIES in the movie. *Cough* Nicky *Cough* Smith *Cough* Aidan

Who's your favourite GIRL and favourite EYECANDY? =P

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

After a relaxing night out with the girls and a good catching up session with the girlies, my Saturday night involved some alcohol and A LOT of dancing with the usual crew, at our usual spot - Sanctuary Hotel.

*Let's take a commercial break from my weekend diary and move on to my FOTD for the night*

I was in the mood for a dramatic look that night, hence the falsies and epic smokey eyes. :)

I loved the final result of it and how it turned out in photos. Keep reading and you will get what I mean. Don't worry, there are faces of my lovely friends too. No nightmares from having too many of my luvo shots appearing on your screen in the next 30 seconds =P

- Necklace from Diva.-
Got it during one of their clearance sales for A$5 =P

Enough about make up, its time to feast your eyes with a few shots from the night and meet my beautiful & good looking friends :D

At Kobow, for yummylicious Korean food + Lemon soju.

They were airing the Australia - Ghana match at the other side of the club and we ended up watching half of the match and how ridiculously idiotic the referee was, for issuing Kewell's red card when the hand ball wasn't even deliberate. =.="

Drinking beer (oh, how classy) while watching the Australian match, with pumping music in the background. And we find ourselves disappearing to the dancefloor when the good music came on.
Pretty.damn.awesome.and.legan-waitforit-dary.

And, I am saving the BEST two photos for to sum up the epicness of that night  =D

The girlies -Where  were you, Miss CSJ?

PICTURE PERFECTO, need I say more?

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

After a long night out, I slept in till almost mid day on Sunday. That's what a relaxing Sunday should be! :) Had brunch with C1 and C2 at this awesome cafe at Newtown, called Grub & Truck (if I am not mistaken) Ask for seatings outside- and the waiter/waitress will lead you through a narrow alley way and a backyard with gorgeous graffiti painting stretched out in front of you.

THE place to be on a sunny winter morning, with a set of hearty breakfast, good coffee and most importantly, the awesome company :D
This place has now taken over Urban Bites as my TOP favourite cafe in Sydney.

My friend wanted to take a photo of me because apparently my purple Superwoman hoodie blended well with the background Lol.

My hearty big breakfast, served with Latte and OJ for A$14.90
Wasn't the BEST brekkie I have ever tasted but the ambiance definitely made up for it, oh and the cute waiter with an English/Irish accent too. =P

We hit ChinaTown later that arvo to grab some fruits from Paddys Market and C2 wanted to get some buns from the Asian Bakery nearby. I love my Polo Bun and Egg Tarts.

Om nom nom nommmmm!!!

C1 & C2

That was one lengthy post! I spent almost 2 hours editing and writing this post. o.0 Hope you guys enjoy this post! :D

xoxo,
A
