ASIA TRIP HAUL PART 2 - MALAYSIA :)

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY to my Australian Readers!!!! :)

Having a day off in mid week is just exactly what I needed! Started the day with Pad Thai (Guilty as charged, but hey I had a 2 hours gyming session the day before!), then headed to Bondi for a good tanning session and wave catching (I just wanna get slightly darker and I am set :P) and finished the day off with half a litre of cold German mango beer @ Bavarian Beer Cafe. What a friggin' awesome day it was!

This is my PART 2 of my ASIA HAUL post - stuff I got from Malaysia. [Click HERE for Part 1 - Singapore Haul] I didn't buy that much make up in Malaysia as I barely had enough time. Instead, I shop for "necessities" like work clothes and more clothes. Lol.

MALAYSIA HAUL

Here are a couple of stuff I got from MAC, not much as I was trying to resist myself not to purchase my 237472937423th lipstick although they were way cheaper than Australia. I reckon I have done a pretty good job, albeit I did kinda regret it now. =.="

MAC

MAC LET ME POP PAINT POT from MAC Cham Tale's collection.
I have been using this daily along with my Illamasqua Powdered Metal in Ether as all over the lid colour (FOTD post HERE) as I try to keep my make up as simple as possible thanks to the sweltering weather here in Sydney.

MAC Viva Glam Lipglass in Cyndi which I have always wanted! I am so glad I waited till Malaysia as I paid $20 instead of $35! Make me k
inda wanna kick myself for not buying more lipsticks, now that I think about it. Adeline, you have enough lipsticks!

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Medium

SHU UEMURE

I also bought the SHU UEMURE eyebrow pencil in Hard 9 after I got my eyebrows done. :)

ETUDE HOUSE

For those of you who don't know, I am a HUGE Etude House fan! They have the CUTEST packaging in PINK and they are reasonably priced! They are always having sales too! :)
Here are a few stuff that I got from Etude House:

ETUDE HOUSE PETITE DARLING EYE SHADOWS - The names come in Korean and I speak no Korean! LOL.

Although I am not really a green person, this green caught my eyes the moment I stepped into Etude House and I knew I had to get it! As for the taupe and white eyeshadows, one can't have too many neutrals right? =P

As you can see, the colours pay off is really great and they are really pigmented!

Eyeliner brush and multi-purpose eyeshadow brush.

Etude House Exfoliator from the Moistful range. I have tried several exfoliator but I find myself coming back to this one all the time. (I will do a comparison between different exfoliators, sometime soon. :D) This is my second tube btw :)

RANDOM DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS

I swear I went into Watsons Malaysia and came out with RM200 (approximately AUD70) worth of stuff but I realised they aren't that many stuff when I was taking photos for this post!

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - my HG (and only) eyeliner that I have been using for the past one year. I am almost hitting pan on my second tub now.

Maybelline Magnum Volum Express Waterproof Mascara - I'd choose this over Colossal anytime.

KATE REFLECT MIRROR EYES IN PU-2

I bought this because of the good reviews about several Kate products but this trio is definitely a huge disappointment. I wore this to work and the inner corner of my lid creased within an hour (and that's WITH primer). Granted, my eyes were watery that day. But even then, most of my other shadows are able to withstand my watery eyes for a good couple of hours before it creased. And even then, it is not as visible as this. Also, the colours aren't that pigmented so that's a huge no for me as I am all for pigmented products.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST,

Random, "kawaii" hairclips.

I got these clips for a couple of my blog-pals as they are into the whole gyaru, kawaii stuff. :) And the fushia pink clip with diamantes on the left is for an upcoming surprise that I have for my readers. :P

This sums up my Asia Trip haul posts! (Click HERE for Part 1 :D) I hope you guys enjoyed my haul posts as much as I enjoy doing them.

Do let me know if you want me to do a detailed review on any of these products. :)

XOXO,
A

ASIA TRIP HAUL PART 1 - SINGAPORE :)

Hello lovelies!!

How was your weekend? Mine was awesome while it lasted and now it's back to work again! Weather was absolutely glorious for the first time all summer and yours truly managed to FINALLY got herself tanned yesterday and maybe slightly burnt. Lol. I had the usual Friday night drinks with the crew and attended Vclub (my gym) New Year - Mad Men themed party on Saturday. Will post some photos from the party once I got hold of the ones from my friend's camera. =)

What did YOU get up to during the weekend? :D

ANYHOOS,

my long awaited Singapore-Malaysia haul post is HERE alas! It has almost been a month since I got back! I will separate the stuff I got from Singapore and Malaysia as some stuff are only available in Singapore and it's too long to put them all in one post!

Did I mention how much I LOVE WATSONS Singapore? (It's equivalent to Priceline in Australia and Walmart in the States.) My sisters think I am weird for wanting to go in every Watsons I saw LOL They have SO MANY awesome Asian brands like Canmake, Skin 79, Kate, Liese, Palty, Essentials and the list goes on!

SINGAPORE HAUL

I got a couple of Essentials stuff  (and MANY other stuff lol) from WATSONS as I have heard heaps of good reviews about them in the past. And after all the heating I have done to my hair, I really should be showing my hair more TLC.

L: Essentials Anti Frizz Serum
R: Essentials Nourishing Care Lotion

I barely touched the Anti Frizz Serum as I have recently chemically straightened my hair and they are still nice and non-frizzy. I do however, apply the Nourishing Care Lotion after I wash my hair each time.

Essentials Ultra Honey & Shea Butter Hair Mask

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product SO FREAKIN' MUCH!!! If you followed me on twitter, you would of seen the random raves I had about this product!

This is my new HG hair mask and I definitely swear by it! It leaves my hair SUPER soft and smooth after using it. I have been using it every 2 days as my ends are pretty bad at the moment. I wish I stocked up more on this hair mask!

BIORE Make Up Remover Wipes - To be honest, I reckon all make up remover wipes are pretty similar. The genius me forgotten to put in my make up remover before I left for the airport because I had shitloads of one too many drinks during my Christmas Party the day before and I really needed one. And since XiaXue raved about this product so much, I decided to give it a go!

I bought this Rimmel Lycra Pro Professional Finish Nail Polish because my Leopard Printed Nail Wrap was peeling and for those of you who don't already know, I can't stand unpainted nails. So there you go!

CANMAKE Crack Lac Nail - which created this awesome "nail art" in less than 15 minutes with just one generous layer on top of Rimmel Lycra Pro Professional Finish Nail Polish

For full tutorial, click HERE

I really like this Crack Lac thingamajig! I wished I have bought more colours though. :( See what I meant by Singapore's Watsons offers awesome stuff?

DUO Eyelash Adhesive - My HG eyelash glue, nuff said.

CANMAKE Cheeks Powder in PW 19 - My current favourite blush!!! :D
Have I mentioned how much I love CANMAKE products? I wished I hoarded more of them when I was there though =.="

Maybelline Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara - It's Hello Kitty and it's pink, need I say more? :D

LIESE Bubble Hair Color in Milk Tea Brown and Cassis Berry
I bought them because I have seen them around the blogosphere and I can be quite a hoarder like that LOL. I really wanna try Milk Tea Brown but my current hair colour is pretty dark and I am still abit iffy about the whole hair dye thing because the last time I dyed my hair with the most gorgeous mahogany colour, I had the worst allergic reaction. (Think: deformed face, swollen eyes and face, "burnt" scalps". Yes, it was that bad that I needed steroids.) We shall see about that...

SEPHORA is definitely the place I was most looking forward to visit, after Marina Bay Sands and Universal Studio of course. For those of you who don't already know, we don't have SEPHORA here in the land down under. =.=" Even if we do, I am pretty sure the price will be ridiculously inflated too.

I was expecting to go crazy in SEPHORA but only managed to grab 3 stuff, way below my expectation LOL.
URBAN DECAY - THE BLACK PALETTE!

I was actually debating between this one and their Limited Edition NYC Palette but there are 2 very similar colours in that palette and I doubt I will even use it and thought this Black Palette looks pretty good too, and well, not as main stream as the NYC Palette. (Although I doubt I will use this as often as my Naked Palette because it's just too pretty to be used! )

Look at how pretty these colours are! And it comes with a travel size primer and a full size Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On in Zero (which found its way back to my every-day must haves!)

SEPHORA Mineral Foundation Compact - I bought this simply because I wanted to try a "Sephora" brand make up LOL. I was on a lipstick ban (which I kinda regretted not buying now BOO!) at that time and I wasn't really looking for eyeliners or eyeshadows so yeh.

The last item I got from SEPHORA was Soap & Glory's Flake Away Body Scrub! Claire recommended me this product and I gotta say best recommendation ever because I absolutely love it!! I feel so "clean" and refreshed after using it and it smells amazing too!!! I am definitely a sucker for anything that smells good! :)

As for the BENEFIT SOME KIND-A GORGEOUS Foundation Faker, I got it from Raffles City if I wasn't mistaken. I was contemplating about it when I was in SEPHORA as I don't really need another "Foundation" (Tinted moisturizer and BB Cream are my best friends!) But yeh, clearly I gave into temptation. Lol.

That pretty much sums up the Make Up I bought from Singapore! I LOVE SINGAPORE's shopping!  I bought a couple of shoes and a bag from Charles & Keith and Steve Madden too and some other random stuff too.

Let me know if you want a detailed review of any of these products. :) Have you tried any of these products? Any favourites?

ASIA TRIP HAUL Part 2 - Malaysia is coming up soon!!! It took me ages to have this post up, so the next one is probably in the next couple of days. STAY TUNE!

XOXO,
A

SINGAPORE PART 2 - MEET UP WITH CLAIRE & GRACE

Hi lovelies!

How was your weekend? I had a pretty awesome one catching up with my friends and stuffing my face with food (time to whip myself back into shape at the gym later) albeit weather wasn't exactly the best. I did finally clear everything from my suit case and it is no longer lying in the middle of my room with its "mouth" wide opened. Lol. I still have to reorganize my wardrobe and vanity corner. Le Sigh. Like I mentioned on twitter, you know you shopped too much when you don't know where and how to store your newly purchased stuff.

Without further ado, lets move on to my meet up with the girlies - Claire and Grace aka Gracious Glamour while I was in Singapore!!! I am so glad that I was able to finally meet both of my tweet-pals although it was quite a quick one! :( If only we had more time to camwhore and shop together!

Claire took me to the FAMOUS KOI BUBBLE TEA when I was there! I can truly understand why is this the BEST bubble tea in Singapore ( I think, correct me if I am wrong!) The milk and tea just compliment each other so well, and their pearls are smaller than the usual size too, making chewing easier. AND they are VERY generous with their pearls! I couldn't even finish them and I love my pearls lol.

We had Spicy Crab Pasta at I-can't-remember-where for a late lunch and it was scrumptious. I love my crab, just in case you guys didn't already know. :)
In fact, I already told Grace I would love to have this before I even got to Sg when I saw her tweeting about it LOL

Camwhore fail - at least on my part. Look at how retarded I look =.=" At least the both of them look good! Claire and I both agree on how much cuter Grace looks in real life! <3

A much better one, taken by the waitress. :)

I MISS YOU GUYS :(

What I wore that day :)
Maxi Dress from ICE with my faithful Havaianas thongs (not in pic).

Super love the details on the chest area and my newly purchased flower ring from Diva. :)

EOTD.
I know, its already boring enough that I wear black almost every day and now my make up is the typical neutral, smokey eyes?

Well, in my defense, I didn't carry much make up with me this trip. And I wasn't the proud owner of Urban Decay Black Palette's yet when I was applying make up =P

On my EYES
Maybelline Smokey Eyes Quad in Natural Smokes
Maybelline Eyestudio Drama Lasting Eyeliner in Black
Maybelline Hello Kitty Mascara
Circle Lens from MUKUCHU
On my FACE
Etude House Magic BB Cream
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Ivory
Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset City (for Bronzer)
MAC MSF in Candlelight (as highlight)
Canmake Powder Blush in PW19 ( MY CURRENT FAVOURITE BLUSH <3)

On my LIPS
Revlon Matte Lipstick in Pink Pout
NYX Round Lipgloss in Whipped

TA-DA! :)

NOW, moving on to the gifts I received from the lovely girls. Both of them were SO GENEROUS and it makes me feel bad for the little gift I brought them. (I hope you guys like it!)

PRESSIES FROM Claire :)

She gave me a whole range of different masks to try out!

AND SO MANY LASHESSSSSSSSS + DUO Adhesive in Dark Tone!

And lipbalms, some samples, NYX glitters and a GUERLAIN eyeshadow!

THANKS SO MUCH LOVE for the goodies!!!:)
I am loving the Gipsy lashes. Haven't gotten the chance to try the rest yet but let me know if you'd like me to have a brief review on any of these products. :)

PRESSIES FROM Gracious Glamour :)

JILL STUART BLUSH AND ELISA COY BB CREAM!
THANKS GRACIEEEEEEEEEEE :)

Its SO PRETTY that I don't think I will ever use it. LOL

I really had a great time with the girls although it wasn't a long meet up.And I am already missing them!! :(
YOU GIRLS SHOULD SO VISIT SYDNEY SOMETIME SOON!!! :D

Sometimes, it's so amazing how the beauty community brought us together. I have met really lovely people through blogging and twitter and became really good friends. (No, it's not creepy when you share a common interest =P)  You know who you are. =P However, there are some people who are deceiving and you might fall for the facade they built.

I shall have a (couple) of haul posts (and MAYBE videos) coming up soon once I am done sorting them out, and maybe "What's In My Travelling Bag" post. =P

PS: Don't forget to show MY FACEBOOK PAGE *CLICK* SOME LOVE :D

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AHEAD LOVELIES :)

IM BACK! :) ASIA TRIP PART 1 - SINGAPORE (25.12.2010 - 28.12.2010)

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!!

First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! I hope you guys had a great celebration, especially those of you who are in Sydney and are lucky enough to witness the spectacular fireworks by the harbour! Have you taken some time off to reflect about what have you done/not done throughout 2010 and what are your goals in 2011?
I am guilty for not have done all those. This weekend will do. For those who don't already know, I was away to Singapore and Malaysia for the Christmas-New Year break. (which I am going to split it up into a couple of posts). It was an awesome trip albeit abit too short. My schedule was pretty hectic (so sorry to those whom I didn't get to meet up) and I started work a day right after I landed to the Land of Meat Pies again (read: jetlag and hangover from all the traveling and flying). I have spent the last 3 nights heading to bed early, simply because my body can't hack it after a long day at work and the gym. That explains why I have been SUPER MIA from this blog - my apologies. But fret not lovelies, I AM BACK NOW!!!! :)

Enough of yapping and now I shall take you through my Singapore trip via photos. =)

Half of first day was spent driving down from Malaysia, then meeting up with relos and shopping. Nothing much, really. We stayed at a relos place in the first night too cos we wasn't planning to arrive Singapore till the 26th.

ANYWAYS, we checked out the newly opened Universal Studio in Sentosa Island on the second day. :)

Ze Family <3

Mum & I at the Entrance.

Yours truly with a large & pretty Christmas Tree.

I can't remember what are these characters called but Donald Duck keeps coming up in my head wtf.
Does any of you know what are they called?
(What deprieved childhood I have =.=")

Yeh boy, cos I am classy like that.

Sisley Emily & I

I WISH I was in the actual 5th avenue too.

In a poncho getting ready for one of the "Jurassic Park" ride which leaves you soaking in water after the ride. We made good use of the poncho after the ride too as it was pouring like crazy that arvo =.=".

Got back to the hotel (which was pretty damn awesome! Photos below!), had a shower and changed into clean and DRY clothes before heading out again.

Turquoise Top: TEMT
High-waisted shorts: Glasson
Flower Ring: DIVA

I didn't end up wearing this outfit though as we ended up going to Orchard Road instead of the Casino.

Wearing: MAC VIVA GLAM lipstick in Cyndi.

I kinda like how my hair looks like when I let it down here. But kids, it's just dirty, unwashed hair + up in a bun all day. Gross, but true.

We just had to post under Miu Miu on Orchard St.

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+

I stayed in Marina Bay Sands Hotel for the remaining 2 nights of my stay, which is probably the sickest hotel I have ever stayed so far! Let me take you guys for a quick room tour and I will explain further (through more photos =D) on why is this the sickest hotel!

The "hallway"

SUPER comfy King Size Bed - I did love to own one in my future home!

The centre of the bathroom.

The shower area and "peeing" area.
AND...

This is why Marina Bay Sand is the sickest hotel ever!

Their roof top pool area, also known as the Sky Bar.
Non hotel guests have to pay SGD 20 just to have the best view of the entire Singapore City.

NEED I SAY MOREEEEEE?

It has been a while since I last visited Singapore and it has changed so much since. I am actually starting to reconsider Singapore as one of my future options =)

Yours truly outside MBS's casino. In respect to the casino, there's nothing much to shout about - the minimum bet is slightly higher than Star City and Crown AND it's NOT smoke free. I hate coming out of a venue with stinky hair. And that was the story of my night after half an hour. POOOO!

Leopard Printed Top: Random Store @ Market City
High-waisted shorts: Glassons
Oxford Heels: Charles & Keith

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+

Time flies when you're having a great time, especially with your loved ones. :)

@ Rice Lounge for buffet breakkie on my last day.

Top: Chic a Booti
High Waisted Shorts: Glasson
Thongs: Havaianas

That outfit was before the sisters and I decided to check out SkyBar again before we leave and hence I changed to a more "beachy" outfit although I wasn't really heading to one.

Turquoise Top: TEMT
Ripped Shorts: SUPRE
Thongs: Havaianas

I know I have alot of repeated oufit, especially the high-waisted shorts. That was because I brought like literally 10 pieces of clothes with me all trip along with my trusty Havaianas thongs. This is when you make full use of shopping. :)

@ SkyBar with the entire Singapore City behind me!

Singapore City :)

As you can see it was pretty cloudy that day and not to mention, windy too - but it's all worth it. :)

Because the view is so breath-taking and because I am such a narcissist!

The Sisters & I @ SkyBar
At the hotel lobby, while waiting for the valet to bring Dad's car.

The miniature of MBS! :)

It's definitely a MUST-GO-SPOT if you're visiting Singapore!

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+

Before I go, a sneak peak into whom I met up with in Singapore :)
Do they look familiar to you?

Stay tune for the next post, lovelies!!! :)

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+

My 10 days away was a vacation very much needed albeit a tad too short.

I hope you guys enjoyed this mini "Singapore Tour" I took you guys!

ITS GOOD TO BE BACK!!! :)

XOXO,
A
