Collective HAUL #2 - LUSH & DIVA

Hello lovelies,

How was your weekend? Hope you had a great one and make Monday less dreadful. Sorry for MIA in the past couple of days and here I am, blogging while watching Germany V England clash. (GOOD GAME! I shall not bore you guys with the details and my random rants during the match, which can be seen on my twitter too. )

I was meant to blog about this haul right on Friday but I find it hard to pull myself away from this awesomeeee TV series called:

Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore
Am I the only one who find him drop-dead-gorgeously HOT and is WAY better looking than Stefan in The Vampire Diaries?
There's something about his pair of mesmerizing eyes, his signature wink, his body and the way he dresses. And of course, the bad boy vibe that emanates from him.

Michael Trevino as Tyler Lockwood.
He is the other eye candy that caught my attention after Damon in The Vampire Diaries. I think I see a "common traits" in these 2 guys that I find attractive- the bad boy vibe and buff body =P

ANYWAYS,
I shall not bore you guys further with my temporary celebrity crush and lets move on to the more interesting part of the post - My mini haul from LUSH and DIVA =P

I think I have gone past my make up addiction phase and it has now moved on to LUSH.Not sure if it's a good sign as their products are slightly on the expensive side.

Nicely wrapped :)

I bought their

I purchased their Big Hair Affair Trial Kit and they all came in this cute takeaway-like box.

$14.95 for 3 shampoos, 2 conditioners, 1hair treatment and 1 styling gel.
Pretty good deal, I reckon.

Big Buffy - a moisturizing soap bar which works well as an exfoliator as well. It leaves your skin moisturized even after washing it off. I am lovin' it so far, will do a review on it after trying it for a longer time. :)

My "Ice Blue" sample.

DIVA was having a further markdown, hoping to clear their old stocks before the End of Financial Year I suppose - 4 for $10. Love the great sense of satisfaction whenever I snatched a good deal like this =P

Pink Butterfly Bangle & Ring for lil sis.
*I knew I had to get it for my babysis the moment I saw this. Pink + Butterfly = GEM. Lol!*

THIS GORGEOUS Spring Enamel Diamond Snake Clamp was originally priced at $19.99!

Isn't this bracelet elegant?

Retro Guitar Necklace

On top of the 4 pieces of accessories I got, I got this cute pink rose ring too. For $1! :D

HOW CUTE THIS RING IS???!! And it has lipgloss when you open the rose =P

Sorry for the lack of words and flow of this post as it is 2am in the morning and I had a mere 5 hours sleep last night due to my Vampire Diaries marathon and work is at 9am tomorrow. GG. I forsee a very cranky Adeline tomorrow. :(

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AHEAD, LOVELIES =P

TBE TREND TALK THURSDAY #1

Hey lovelies,

What's crackin'? I have decided to start a series called Trend Talk Thursday - featuring outfits that I like and would love to share with you guys. It was just a random thought that came to me one day and I reckon it's a pretty good idea to include fashion as part of Through Beauty Eyes. :)
It will definitely be a fortnight thing, if not weekly.

So, for this week's Trend Talk Thursday, I would like to feature this Pink Sweat Shirt I got from Cotton On Body a week ago.
Sweat shirt has definitely top the list of my favourites this winter. It keeps me warm and its extremely comfy. Now, one would usually associate sweat shirt as slouchy and baggy - something similar to pjs, something that you would not wear out of your house.

Fushia Sweat Shirt - Cotton On Body/ Pink long sleeve top - Factory Outlet Store (Malaysia)/ Faux Leather Jacket - SES/ Thigh high boots - Rubi (by Cotton On)/ Scarf - China/ /
Well, not anymore when you wear a striking fushia sweat shirt as a dress and pair it with the oh-so-sexy thigh high boots (which is "IN" this season) and a faux leather jacket.

3-in-1-snake&skull ring; Skull Ring; Dragonfly necklace - All from Diva / On my nails - China Glaze For Audrey
Don't forget to accessorise your otherwise plain outfit with some statement jewellery such as statement rings and necklace. And don't forget your scarf too. :) Scarf is a must have during winter, to keep you warm from the piercing wind and of course to spice up your outfit.

It looks like I am trying to grab my own boobs but I swear I wasn't! I was just trying to show you guys the colour of my nails and my awesome rings! :D

My all time favourite skull ring, from Diva for A$5. :D

I came across this very interesting article on MX yesterday, in regards to thigh high boots - skanky or slutty? Well, this thigh high boots was sorta an impulse buy after I saw my friend rockin' it and the fact that its a "must have" this winter. I must admit, I was faced with the "phobia" of coming across as slutty when I wear them out, especially when I wear them out with dresses, without stockings. (This boots are REALLY warm and wearing stockings just kill the entire look and make me look stumpy and short)

I tried these babies after I got them with different pieces from my wardrobe, from bubbly skirt to micro mini bandage skirt to dresses to tights. (I am yet to try them with micromini shorts) I think these OTK boots goes really well with bubble skirt, tights and certain dresses (though it's a lil too warm during the day). However, OTK boots with short bandage skirt is a BIG NO NO! Pair both of them together and you will definitely look like one of those hookers from the Cross.

Personally, I quite like how the outfit turned out to be when paired with this sweat shirt of mine. I think it doesn't look too bad when you match them with non-revealing dresses.

I did the Rihanna inspired look again yesterday. Love it :)

Do you own any thigh high boots? What are your thoughts about them - slutty or sexy?
I'd like to hear your thoughts on that.

XOXO,
A

FOTD- SMOKE IT OUT + WEEKEND AWESOMENESS

Hey lovelies,

How was your weekend? Did yours flew by too? Mine most certainly did and I shall not bore you guys with the usual Monday Blues whinging. =P My weekend was great! Beyond great actually. A good mixture of partying and relaxing time, definitely something I needed to take my mind off all the shit that is going on at the moment.

Since the most of you didn't mind me sharing some of my personal stuff in between my beauty related posts, I shall have a recap of what I did last weekend. :D

What a perfect way to start my weekend off with dinner & dessert ( I LOVE GREEN TEA YOGURT =P) with the girlies and Sex and the City II after.

- I love love LOVE Sarah Jessica Parker, her clothes and shoes in the movie are TO-DIE-FOR! And I love the way she carries herself and the confidence that she oozes out. ♥-
Despite all the bad reviews I have read prior to the movie, I really enjoyed the movie and find myself cracking up laughing like a hyena many times and of course the FASHION, which is pretty much the most anticipated part in this movie. Oh, not to forget, the EYE-CANDIES in the movie. *Cough* Nicky *Cough* Smith *Cough* Aidan

Who's your favourite GIRL and favourite EYECANDY? =P

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

After a relaxing night out with the girls and a good catching up session with the girlies, my Saturday night involved some alcohol and A LOT of dancing with the usual crew, at our usual spot - Sanctuary Hotel.

*Let's take a commercial break from my weekend diary and move on to my FOTD for the night*

I was in the mood for a dramatic look that night, hence the falsies and epic smokey eyes. :)

I loved the final result of it and how it turned out in photos. Keep reading and you will get what I mean. Don't worry, there are faces of my lovely friends too. No nightmares from having too many of my luvo shots appearing on your screen in the next 30 seconds =P

- Necklace from Diva.-
Got it during one of their clearance sales for A$5 =P

Enough about make up, its time to feast your eyes with a few shots from the night and meet my beautiful & good looking friends :D

At Kobow, for yummylicious Korean food + Lemon soju.

They were airing the Australia - Ghana match at the other side of the club and we ended up watching half of the match and how ridiculously idiotic the referee was, for issuing Kewell's red card when the hand ball wasn't even deliberate. =.="

Drinking beer (oh, how classy) while watching the Australian match, with pumping music in the background. And we find ourselves disappearing to the dancefloor when the good music came on.
Pretty.damn.awesome.and.legan-waitforit-dary.

And, I am saving the BEST two photos for to sum up the epicness of that night  =D

The girlies -Where  were you, Miss CSJ?

PICTURE PERFECTO, need I say more?

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:

After a long night out, I slept in till almost mid day on Sunday. That's what a relaxing Sunday should be! :) Had brunch with C1 and C2 at this awesome cafe at Newtown, called Grub & Truck (if I am not mistaken) Ask for seatings outside- and the waiter/waitress will lead you through a narrow alley way and a backyard with gorgeous graffiti painting stretched out in front of you.

THE place to be on a sunny winter morning, with a set of hearty breakfast, good coffee and most importantly, the awesome company :D
This place has now taken over Urban Bites as my TOP favourite cafe in Sydney.

My friend wanted to take a photo of me because apparently my purple Superwoman hoodie blended well with the background Lol.

My hearty big breakfast, served with Latte and OJ for A$14.90
Wasn't the BEST brekkie I have ever tasted but the ambiance definitely made up for it, oh and the cute waiter with an English/Irish accent too. =P

We hit ChinaTown later that arvo to grab some fruits from Paddys Market and C2 wanted to get some buns from the Asian Bakery nearby. I love my Polo Bun and Egg Tarts.

Om nom nom nommmmm!!!

C1 & C2

That was one lengthy post! I spent almost 2 hours editing and writing this post. o.0 Hope you guys enjoy this post! :D
